Black and White Art

The theme this week by Mac is "Black and White Art". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. You can see what others show on my side bar.

When I think of B&W Art I think of the Loon. It is B&W Art even in color. I will show both before and after photos. I loved this artful pose.
This is before B&W conversion, note the red eye.
Cool close-up.
Before.
Let's take a better look.

The red eye is the equivalent of the red block in my black and white quilts. Nature gave me my inspiration for that.

I don't really care whether the picture is in colour or not, when I see beautiful picture like these. Both versions look equally great.

I have never seen a loon (in person)....I've only seen them "On Golden Pond"...and ever since then, seeing them and hearing them, I've always wanted to see one myself.
These are lovely!!
Thank you for sharing....

That beak looks dangerously sharp. Better keep your distance, Tom. Nice details on the loon and of the water, too.

Love the comparisons of the color and b&w. Great shots of the loon in the water!

I like the loon, too, in both monochrome and color.
