"Wild Animals"

The theme this week by Christine is "Wild Animals". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

This is one of my favorite photo subjects. I decided to show some of the wild animals that come into my back yard. I love the Spring when the fawn are coming into the yard to feed. I enjoy the spotted colors of the fawns.
As we get into the summer the fawns start to lose their spots. Here is a pair with one changed and the other still in spots.
I get a herd of deer coming into the back yard.
This deer was covered with snow which didn't bother her. She has a thick winter coat.
A big snowfall gives some interesting wild animal photos. I hope you spotted the deer.
The wild animals have to still forage in the winter. Here is a gray squirrel with a winter coat.
Here is a wild animal contrast with the rabbit hiding in the shade near the groundhog.
See what the others show on my side bar.

Oh, these are great. I love deer, and have only ever seen one up close enough to get a shot (in my blog post today). Alas, I live in the suburbs where the wildest critters are usually rabbits and squirrels, lol! But we do get an occasional deer, a skunk, and lately some coyotes!

We get squirrels, rabbits and groundhogs in our yard, but not deer! With the exception of eating the bird seed, I don't think I would mind seeing a deer or two in our yard.
