The second and third ones are still standing. In fact, my brother and his family live in our last childhood home. Oh, and my husband and I live in HIS childhood home. We had a long row of grape vines and a huge lilac hedge that I loved to sit under the blooms. Now, I hear, the house is gone and the lot has been leveled. You just can't go back. The house I grew up in, its still there but they didn't appreciate the Gravenstein apple trees or the clump Hemlock firs or a half a dozen of the other living Christmas trees that my father planted to shade the home and give it character.
