Today's Flowers #8

My friend Luiz Santilli Jr. has started a Today's Flowers Meme, check it out. Come and join with your flower photos. You can get in on the start. Sunday at 7GMT is the post time.

My Today's Flowers entry will be my roses. I have three plants that are Pink Roses. One is established and two are new this year. The established plant has yellow in the base of the rose.
It blooms nicely with a yellow glow.
As it matures the pink takes over.
The ending the flower starts to deteriorate and it's time to dead head the flower.

  29. Wow, wow, wow!!!!!
I just love that rose! If I were near you, I would slip over to look and sniff and ask for a start.

What is the name of this rose? Ever put one of these on the pillow for the little lady to discover when she goes to bed? Just a thought. A rose this beautiful is meant to be shared with a love one.

  39. rose pictures! My favorite? It snowed one year before cold weather had really set in and there, in a foot of snow -- was the most beautiful Tropicana rose you've ever seen. It looked absolutely awesome with the snowy backdrop!

    Blessings!

  40. Your roses are very delicate and pretty. I only have one rose. It is an old fashioned rose. Doesn't get any aphids on it and doesn't get any rust. It is only a simple pink rose that dates back to the 1700s. I just ordered it many years ago from a rose specialist and that company got them from the owners of the original rose.

I still have it and while it looks bad now, it seems to live through anything and blooms the next year. I do have some photos but have not thought to publish them yet.

After seeing your beauties, I am inspired and may publish them.

  45. Hi FG. Your comment on my blog about your blue jays was interesting. Our Jays are resident all year round, I don't know much about your blue jays, but our jays are busy like yours, they are collecting acorns, they are very shy birds and so a pic is very difficult, i'll try though!
