I thought this week with our gray skies I would show two sunrises through the clouds. This one had an interesting look as the sun rose into the sky.

This one has a sky that looked like the sun would break through.

Here is a midday shot with a little blue in the sky. This soon turned to all gray.

These are the two sunsets through the cloudy skies. The setting sun showed as a dispersed yellow ball.

The sun got lower and the sky took over but it still looked nice as the sun tried to shine off the clouds.

I had to show one Summer shot on my fishing lake to get me out of this gray sky mood. this is the pump house at my water supply lake. I hope to see the sun again real soon.

The life blood of blogging is visitation so go out there and see some beautiful skies at the SWF site.
beautiful skies... thought # 4&5 had a somewhat ominous air about them though

Nice cycles of shots. I don't blame you one bit for wanting to post the pump phouse shot. It's gray and dull here on the Erie north shore, too.
ReplyDeleteAll nice! I love your warm summer skies, but I think my favorite is the 2nd to last sunset. Incredible colors and clouds! It's to pretty to put one in a grey mood!
ReplyDeleteGreat sequence, Tom. It's rainy and dreary here today in TN. I needed to see that last picture--just to help me know that 'this too will pass.' (We've had LOTS of rain the past few days. We needed the rain--but not all at once.. Gads!)
ReplyDeleteBetsy
Beautiful set of photos! How different is the winter sun compared to the summer sun, no?
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Even in winter there are many interesting things to photograph.
ReplyDeletePerfect shots once again, I especially love the last one. What I would do to throw a line in that water.
ReplyDeleteCheers!

I note that the sky takes on a shot silk quality in two of them. Very nice.
Great collection of skies from different views. Isn't it lovely that we can take a moment to enjoy this beauty that nature lays out for us.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comments on my post earlier.
What a lovely selection of skies you posted! They are all beautiful in their own way but that last photo has me longing for more sunshine and warmer weather than we are getting here at the present time!
