Sky Watch Friday #30

The new Sky Watch Friday is doing really well. Please check out the site and link in if you wish to participate. There were over 300 people last week with beautiful Sky photos. You can link in from my side bar or at the start of this post.

I just flew to Austin Texas from Atlanta and got these neat flying photos. Check out the gorgeous color variations above the clouds.
This was going from half way to Austin and was when we crossed the Mississippi River and the clouds opened up for a photo.
The Sun was fighting to get through in this one a little closer to Austin.
This was an early morning flight home at sunrise. I thought the plane beside me made a great subject in the early morning light..
This final shot was a river close to Georgia as we chased the sun to the East. What a neat set of water in that area.
I do hope you will check out some other great skies.

I envy these. Haven't been in a plane for a long time but I do remember how I felt looking at the sky from that position.
I really like the tail of the plane silhouetted against the sunrise - neat capture.

Also looking a your recent posts, I see that you have a lot more snow than we do yet. We have quite a few bare areas now, making for better living conditions for wildlife.

  50. Fishing Guy, these are great shots and so different from a lot of other Skywatch posts. I like the one of the sun hitting the plane and I like the one of the old Mississppi River since it has played such a great part in our U.S. history. But my very favorite one is that curvy river. Nice capture.
