I had a day when the snow stopped and saw 8 different bird types. Here are five of them.
These are the Starlings. They truly are neat birds making a lot of noise.

Here is a House Sparrow sitting on the table I have on end..

This is a pair of Cardinals the red male and brownish red female under an overhang.

Here is a Black Capped Chickadee that was taking off to fly.

This is a Dark Eyed Junco. This is the second one I saw this year.

The other birds I saw were a Grackle, a Blue Jay and an American Robin.
It's amazing that we share a lot of the same birds and live so far apart!!
ReplyDeleteIt looked like your starlings were having a meeting in that photo - loved it!
ReplyDeleteIt looks as if that three little birdies are having a conference ;)
ReplyDeleteTom, I never tire of seeing great pictures of the birds. I'm featuring a Cardinal tomorrow also...
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Betsy
You got quite a few visitors on your sunny day. Hopefully you'll have more (sunny days and birds) in the days ahead.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed be your knowledge of birds!
ReplyDeleteWhen I see the little birdies outside in the winter, I feel so sorry for them - their little feet are so small, they have to be cold!!! Poor things!
ReplyDeleteGreat sequence, Fishing Guy!
ReplyDeleteThose three birds in the first picture seem to gossip! Beautiful!
Great bird shots!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you frame the birds :-) Lovely little portraits of each.
ReplyDeleteSome of the birds are here as well. But the cardinal is unknown here I think at least I have never seen one. Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteOk, now you've gone and done it - you've made me homesick for all the birds I had around my feeders when I lived up north! I'd almost forgotten that dark eyed juncos even existed.
ReplyDelete*sigh*

I'm a huge fan of the humble huge fan of the humble house sparrow. Could almost be my garden, well if I had that beautiful cardinal which I am still so envious of.
ReplyDeleteWe are seeing the occasional starling here in Michigan now. They are funny, but they are also gluttonous when it comes to our suet feeders.
ReplyDeleteAnd they take a bath with more vigor and flurry than any other bird I can think of!
Hi the sparrow and background are very artistic! Nice photos. Hope all is well there and the snow leaves.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful birds!
ReplyDeleteI wish I was more successful in finding birds to shoot, I mean photograph. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the song of the robins. Great shots Tom.
ReplyDeleteFG, Love the way you presented your locals..always fun to see those cardinals!!
ReplyDeleteI just love those Cardinals FG!!
ReplyDeleteLove the bird photos. We usually have a ton of dark-eyed juncos, and I haven't seen as many this year either.
ReplyDeleteLove the bird photos, but I'm not crazy about starlings, they invade our feeders. I think juncos are so cute. I got pictures of robins this morning.
