Something a little different this week. I have been spending a lot of time inside from the Angioplasty operation so I have not planned as well this week. I was driving around town a few weeks back and thought I must capture this car. A University of Michigan fan lives in the Ohio area; Ohio Plate. You can see that from the license plate holder and the window sticker who they cheer with. The yellow sticker above the plate is the third way to tell who they like. It says "OHOWIHATE OHIO STATE". I guess we deserve it the way Ohio State has treated them the 2000's. The funny part is the Cleveland Indians sticker on the bumper. Number is omitted to protect the foolish.
We actually had some sun this week and I captured a tree shadow in the back yard. Our snow should be gone by the end of the week.
Pristine - your backyard.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to a little color soon!
Cheers, Klaus
Do you have more snow than we have? Or is that just an old photo? LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat good eyes you have to catch all those clues to who cheers for whom. ;-)
yeah, snow, it's yours and not mine, good pictures of seasonal effects
ReplyDeleteAh, your backyard looks just like ours did a week ago. I think we're all yearning for a little color, a little warm sunshine! Love the shadow! And you do have good eyes!! Take care, enjoy and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're getting the care you need. That's funny about the bumper sticker. I love the reflections on the snow.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that you had to have an operation. I read down to your posts about what happened and I hope your recovery will be swift. I enjoyed your shots for this my world post.
ReplyDeleteToo much snow still.
ReplyDeleteKeep well. Sending my very best to you.
We hace a few daffs coming uo here, my friend.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots.
Love the humor in the first shot!!
ReplyDeleteThat last shot is jsut superb. I have had trouble opening your blog, so I'll have to catch up. Take care and don't make the rounds, take it easy.
ReplyDeleteSpring really is on the way.
ReplyDeleteHope you continue to heal.
I'm glad you had some sunshine up there in Ohio. Now all we need is some warmer weather!
ReplyDeleteFunny car!! The snow photos are great, love the reflection of the tree. I hope these were from last week..........you better be still and let the Lord heal you, Big Fishing Guy!!!
ReplyDeleteNo snow anymore in Belgium, Spring is coming! You still have a lot of snow!
ReplyDeleteHi.......
ReplyDeleteLove the humor in the first shot!! We have very hot here around 34 degree.
Glad you are taking good care of yourself, Tom... I'm surprised that the Michigan fan doesn't get his car KEYED there in Ohio... They would probably do that here in TN if a FL Gator car lived here --and if it said, "I hate the Vols". ha ha
ReplyDeleteHope you didn't get too much snow today. This latest snow missed us totally --as it went all the way around us.
Take care, Tom.
Betsy
I keep telling Mr Wren we need a second set of license plates for our trips to Ohio. :)
ReplyDeleteFishing Guy, glad you are up and about now and on the mend. I love the license plate story with the car motifs.
ReplyDeleteHere's a quick story. My brother Harold who graduated from Michigan State lived in Colorado and got a license plate in green and white there that said STATE in honor of Michigan State! So one day my brother was filling up with gas at a station in Denver when a car flies into the gas station behind him and a man jumps out screaming at my brother "So we finally meet! You God damm fool!"
My brother is wondering what's going on with this crazy guy and why he is obviously mad at him and what in the world did he do to set him off like this.
Well, the guy was a big Colorado State fan and I guess for years he had been trying to get the Colorado designer plate that said STATE but my brother had already taken that designer plate option. My brother then had to explain to this rabid Colorado State fan that yes he had STATE on his license but it was for Michigan State not Colorado State.
Moral of this story is this: watch out, college fans get a little crazy and rabid about their favorite college team. LOL!
Dear kind Host
ReplyDeleteNice to see you still enjoying the winter...
Laughing at that bumper sticker - I think I had a frisbee as a kid that had that same saying! Nice snow photo!
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait for spring either!
ReplyDeleteFunny bumper sticker. I LOVE the tree shadow!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit (lot) behind here. Didn't know about any surgery....my bad! Here's to good good days to you always!
ReplyDeleteAnd we have more snow than you, nah nah! ;-)
Lovely photos. Hope spring will come soon for you all and you will be warmer.
ReplyDeleteBoth shots, so different, are beautiful, Fishing Guy.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are feeling well.
Tom : I m kicking myself for having missed out on that "cardiac catheterization and angioplasy" post of yours.
ReplyDeleteI m so relieved to know that you are going fine and here's wishing you good health and a speedy recovery.
Take care my friend, our prayers are always with you and your family...Thomas
I am a sucker for shadows on the snow, thanks.
ReplyDeleteLove your backyard photo and it does look like spring's around the corner. Take care and hope you heal soon.
ReplyDeleteLovely snow landscape! If you like odd car bumper stickers you must go to Kano Nigeria one day!
ReplyDeleteI loved the tree shadow on snow - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI really love the snow pic with the shadows - it's wonderful. I have had trouble with getting on your blog lately, but right now it worked just fine!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling better and back to normal very soon. Thinking of you!
How are you doing after the operation? More and more people have such an operation and still it is always stressful if you have to undergo it. Your garden looks fine! It's winter so this is what we expect!
ReplyDeleteLove the snowy backyard...as long as it's yours and not mine :-) I would be afraid to show distain for the local teams on my car...might get an extra ding or two in it by a rabid fan!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have the right attitude about recovery: take it easy, but keep on moving. As for the bumper sticker, I never understood the mentality that some people have about hating other teams: can't they just like theirs.
ReplyDeleteI see you still have some snow-I still haven't got more than a skiff all winter.
ReplyDeleteCollege rivalries are fun. Here we are all ate up with Oklahoma University vs Oklahoma State U, and OU vs Texas, Texas vs Texas A&M. Adds a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteyahoooo spring, i can't wait!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat myworld posting, FG!
ReplyDeleteWe have no snow! Yeah.
ReplyDeleteFun post - hope you're feeling well.
That back deck is really nice - Your world is snowy - My world is melting! hehehe
ReplyDeleteYour backyard looks pretty with the snow, but it'll be nice to have a change I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteCarletta From Round The Bend let us know about you. I wish you well and a very speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteWe just received 15 inches of snow. I like you hope it's gone soon. Spring can't get here quick enough!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better by now. Enjoy My World so thanks for making it possible.
ReplyDeleteFoolish, indeed. Notre Dame all the way!! LOL
ReplyDeleteHope you are doing well.
Great photos of the yard. You still have a lot of snow. But Spring will come soon.
