Camera Critters by Misty Dawn, go here to see who's participating. This week is a post from the Cuyahoga Valley National Park . This is one of two Red Squirrels that was hunting food in the wooded area near the walking path. This is for my Grandson Andrew who enjoys squirrels.
He was very busy and didn't pay much attention to me. It took me a while to find this little guy but once I did I was able to get quite a few shots. He was in the shade for a while.

What beautiful shots of this really lovely looking critter Tom. I love that red coat. It must awful forgetting where you have buried your dinner especially if you stomach is growling for food!! :)

Oooooh... I've seen gray and black squirrels in my neck of the woods but no red ones. He's a cutie!

ReplyDeleteIt has been many years since I encountered a red squirrel. Thirty years or so ago they were common in my area but no more.

ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little squirrel. They have a "sweeter" look then my Fox Squirrels. His color is so pretty and that white eye ring really stands out.
