Sky Watch Friday is doing really well. Please check out the site and link in if you wish to participate. There were 300 people last week with beautiful Sky photos. You can link in from my side bar or at the start of this post.
The start of a day heading to the lake with my boat in tow. This is an early morning view across the cemetery.

The lake shows the similar cloud formation. The water is cold and the cold front weather had closed the fishes mouth.

There is a lot of time to take photos during those times. The head honcho of the Canada Geese was on his rock throne as a Mallard Duck goes whizzing past.

Go and see some other great skies above.
Sorry about the fishes closed mouths-love the last photo the bird looks like its standing on water : )
ReplyDeleteI am loving those skies .. the composition is perfect!
ReplyDeleteGreat skies. Love the first shot.
ReplyDeleteIn the last, it looks like that goose is walking on water. lol
LOL. That's what Tipper said.

I guess it's difficult to catch a fish with a closed mouth!! Beautiful sky photos.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo's! I love how the goose looks like it is standing on the water too!!
ReplyDeleteTake care
Looks like a productive outing nonetheless with all these pretty shots.
ReplyDeleteThe imagery is gorgeous and relaxing but the closed mouth fish due to cold stunned me. I have never heard of that before. You just learn much blogging.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots.. I'm planning a fishing trip to Canada for this summer Plan to get some shots of the Canadadian skies
ReplyDeleteMarvelous shots, FG, as always! Love the first shot, beautiful composition! Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThese make me want to take a trip up to the lake. It's not as if I don't have enough photos (smile). There's just something about it that's calming too.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty clouds, wonderful shots. I love the goose, it DOES look like he's walking on water. LOL.
ReplyDeleteNice series! I prefer the first one because of the soft light and the depth in the sky.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Looks like you are experiencing the same weather as we are in central Ontario. I'd say at least the duck and goose are enjoying it. ;-)
ReplyDeleteCanada Goose DOES looks like it's standing on water! Maybe a Hispanic goose, named Jesus? You should have left out the reference to "its rock"--that would have been in keeping with your "guess what?" theme.
ReplyDeleteTom, Looks like you had a wonderful drive to the lake. Great photo's! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteNLSM
P.S. Did you catch anything? :)
Awesome photos. The first one is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.

nice captures...of course when one goes fishing there is always a chance nothing will be caught...
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful weekend.
Looked like that goose was doing an imitation of jesus walking on water - lol! Nice photos!
ReplyDeleteI guess you will have to invent a hook with a built-in warmer for those cool mornings.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, thanks for sharing and happy fishing :D
Lovely photo for SWF. Love the photo of the goose relaxing and "standing" on water. Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteI never saw a Canada goose quite do that. Amazing. These are wonderful photos.
ReplyDeletewonderful moody images.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the goose is walking on water!
ReplyDeleteAnd what is the old saying about the wind from the east, fishing the least, wind from the west, fishing the best? Or something like that. You must have had an easterly wind that day. But a bad day fishing is DEFINITELY better than a good day at work. :-)
Love that 2nd shot!
ReplyDeleteThese are great photos. I love the shot of the Canadian geese. Very nice : )
ReplyDeleteFishing in the boat like that is such a peaceful way to spend a day.
ReplyDeleteNice shots, I bet once you were on the water there was no more time for photography as the fishing bug took over. So nice to see you doing what you truly love.
ReplyDeletewant more wonderful fish???..come to BUNAKEN , manado , indonesia.
ReplyDeletebet you'll cry there..coz of awesome fishes....
shout from indonesia
The sky is not blue, but even more beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteYour skies look a lot like ours (in Norway) these days. (I did not know that fish close their mouth when cold)
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots,
ReplyDeletemy compliments :)))
Great pictures. love the calm of the lake.
ReplyDeleteThe early morning sighting almost look like that of an early twilight. Great combo to post: cloud, cloud and water then reflection of the cloud to the water. Great Fishing Guy you are. Sorry that the fish kept quiet when you were around. Clever fish, ain't they?
ReplyDeleteSorry about the fishing, but the photos turned out really nice!
ReplyDeleteA dreamy morning sky. Glad to hear you are back in your boat. Summer is here!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful skies--I love that first one.
ReplyDeleteLovely gentle colors in your sky watch photos this week.
ReplyDeleteFishing can be a fun game with nature but only if the fish want to play.
Wonderful photos! Happy skywatch Friday!
ReplyDeletegreat shots. Looks a little chilly out there. MB
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skies ... wonderful shot of the goose too!
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
he's walkin on water! hehehe
ReplyDeleteWell hopefully you had a good time even though the fish didn't bite! Great photos.
ReplyDeleteVery nice images and the added birds are such a treat to any photo! Happy weekend :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos - if the fish would have been biting, you would not have had time to take all these fabulous shots!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a whole lot of people go fishing at that point, I see many small boats on the beach, maybe the fish had all been fed for the day.
ReplyDeleteNice place to sit with fishing rod in hand and mind drifting, while watching the wildlife.
Just beautiful! Happy SWF!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Tom-
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skies. I did a little fishing from the dock while we were there in Maine, caught two nice yellow perch. Catch and release, but I was tempted....
Tom
Very nice shots...
ReplyDeleteThe goose looks like he's walking on water... :-)
