Sky Watch Friday # 46

Sky Watch Friday is doing really well. Please check out the site and link in if you wish to participate. There were 300 people last week with beautiful Sky photos. You can link in from my side bar or at the start of this post.

The start of a day heading to the lake with my boat in tow. This is an early morning view across the cemetery.
The lake shows the similar cloud formation. The water is cold and the cold front weather had closed the fishes mouth.
There is a lot of time to take photos during those times. The head honcho of the Canada Geese was on his rock throne as a Mallard Duck goes whizzing past.
Go and see some other great skies above.

  11. The imagery is gorgeous and relaxing but the closed mouth fish due to cold stunned me. I have never heard of that before. You just learn much blogging.

  17. Looks like you are experiencing the same weather as we are in central Ontario. I'd say at least the duck and goose are enjoying it. ;-)

  18. Canada Goose DOES looks like it's standing on water! Maybe a Hispanic goose, named Jesus? You should have left out the reference to "its rock"--that would have been in keeping with your "guess what?" theme.

  26. It looks like the goose is walking on water!

And what is the old saying about the wind from the east, fishing the least, wind from the west, fishing the best? Or something like that. You must have had an easterly wind that day. But a bad day fishing is DEFINITELY better than a good day at work. :-)

  35. The early morning sighting almost look like that of an early twilight. Great combo to post: cloud, cloud and water then reflection of the cloud to the water. Great Fishing Guy you are. Sorry that the fish kept quiet when you were around. Clever fish, ain't they?

  47. Looks like a whole lot of people go fishing at that point, I see many small boats on the beach, maybe the fish had all been fed for the day.
Nice place to sit with fishing rod in hand and mind drifting, while watching the wildlife.

Beautiful skies. I did a little fishing from the dock while we were there in Maine, caught two nice yellow perch. Catch and release, but I was tempted....
