This is my posting for the
My World Meme. It is hosted by Klaus, Ivar, Sandy, Wren, Louise and myself. Won't you join in, I want to see where you live and thrive.
I took a trip to Lake Hodgson with the grandson. I took my better camera to see what we could capture while fishing. This Cormorant posed on a log.

Soccer Boy brought in this nice catfish but was afraid to hold it for the photo. He said he would take the photo. It was into the sun.

The sky was really neat over the lake.

There were not many people fishing but while shooting the gull I found another boat.

We had a neat time even without the fish biting.
That's what memories are made of. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletethink you captured some great shots...love the reflection capture.
ReplyDeletethat catfish was a pretty good size.

Sounds like quality time with your Grandson.I like the picture of the Cormorant on the log.

Mmm... catfish fillets. Our new Fish & Game head is from Ohio--taking a lot of crap from the hook & bullet guys, stuff like, "Yeah, he considers rabbits and squirrels game animals." They'll get over it.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful bird in that first one. I see you live up to your username.
ReplyDelete1st pic is amazing. loved the reflections..!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time and I am glad Soccer Boy caught a good size one. That sky is really blue.
ReplyDeleteA great day on te water for you and a good catch as well.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to go fishing with your grandson. That catfish looks good enough to eat.
ReplyDeleteA nice day fishing at Lake Hodgson for sure. A good catch of the catfish.
ReplyDeleteFishing is slow, very slow as temperatures are extremely hot here in British Columbia. Hottest we have seen in long time.
They are urging folks to stay out of the back country as much as possible as it as timber dry for fear of accidental fires starting or perhaps folks being caught in a wildfire. Forest fires here in BC are not good right now... sigh.
Take care.
Hi Tom;) I love all the wildlife captures. Do catfish bite? Just asking. I have six in my large pond but have not seen them since the beginning of winter (2 months now) They are very shy; my husband has a way of enticing them out so will wait until he returns to see them. Thanks for sharing this post. (((Hugs))) Jo (South Africa)
ReplyDeleteObviously I have a thing for the top shot , the lovely reflection.
ReplyDeleteWell it looks like soccer boy did catch one at least. I guess that's why they call it fishing instead of catching... your just not gona get one every time you cast.
ReplyDeleteBut you sure did capture some wonderful photos and great memories too :D
It's nice to be a part of another world, albeit virtually.
ReplyDeleteFishing is a good event. With the grandson that is the best one indeed.

ReplyDeleteFish slapping. It's from Monte Python's Flying Circus. (whack)
