Sky Watch Friday with the new format. Please check out the site and link in if you wish to participate. There were a lot of people with beautiful Sky photos last week. You can link in from my side bar or at the start of this post. I will be travelling for several days and will get back to you when I return.
We do have a lot of chances to see the Goodyear Blimp because they are housed in the area. It is spelling Goodyear in red lights on the bottom.

The Kent Airport also has a lot of small planes flying over the area.

The Sun was setting in a cloudy sky. I thought the effect was neat.

You can see a lot of neat skies on the above site.
Great aircraft shots, and a wonderful cloudy sunset. Hope your traveling is fun.
ReplyDeleteThe friendly skies...you sure do have a lot of interesting flying machines cruising around your home!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome photo's, Tom!!
ReplyDeleteHappy SWF.
Nice collection of sky scenes.
ReplyDeleteGotta love the Good Year Blimp, Tom, definitely an Icon for those of us that live or have lived near Akron.
ReplyDeleteTom
Hi great craft shots here. I love the light bursting through your last shot.
ReplyDeleteNice shots Tom, have a good and safe trip.
ReplyDeleteGotta love the blimp! The lighting is wonderful in the last photo. Great shots, Tom.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great shot of the blimp and I like how the sky seems to be moving in the last one!
ReplyDeleteMy post is here: Carletta’s Captures.
Fun collection of photos for Sky Watch Friday, a blimp is not somethng we get to see every day and your clouds are really very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI don't know when last I have seen a blimp Tom. It must have been the last time I was in the USA as we do not have any left here.
ReplyDeleteThose were neat shots FG! Nice to see the blimp again...Happy Friday :)
ReplyDeleteGreat captures!
ReplyDeleteI love the blimp! Reminds me of my favorite season because it reminds me of football!
ReplyDeleteI've got a little somethin' for you to try and guess.

ReplyDeleteLove to see the blimps when they pass over. Great captures Tom.
ReplyDeleteLove the cloudy sky. Can you ride in the blimp?
ReplyDeletethat last shot is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI hope your traveling includes fishing. Good shot of the blimp; when I clicked on the pic, I could read the letters.
ReplyDeleteLove the blimp shot ~ conjures up a memory of the first time I saw one around the age of 10 years old. My cousin and I got into an argument because I thought aliens were coming and she just couldn't convince me that their space ships were only round. lol... great post!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the blimp. They came here once to our airport and docked and that was the closest I had ever seen them. That cloud and sun shot is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteVery nice aircraft pictures, Tom!
ReplyDeleteGreat light in the last image, so dramatic.
I like the shot of the plane and the blimp-but the last one is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteHi Tom, Love your new header!!!! Your sky pictures (including airplane and blimp) are neat--and I really like that last sky picture.
ReplyDeleteWe're home from a great vacation.. I'll post in the morning.
Hugs,
Betsy
Cool capture of the blimp. We rarely see one out my way.
ReplyDeleteI really like your shot of the Goodyear blimp, but the sunset is neat as well.
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot of aircraft in the sky.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! We used to have a Goodyear plant in my town. My dad retired from there a number of years ago. I worked there about 3 years when I was in my 20s, and my brother still works there, but it was sold to another company a year or so ago.
ReplyDeleteI remember the excitement when the blimp was first in the air, and when it came to our city.
Great shot of the blimp. I do miss hearing the blimp overhead all the time. I lived a stone's throw from the blimp hangars, esp the one at the Akron Fulton Airport. About two minutes in my car, and I was there. Funny what you miss after you move away...
ReplyDeleteIt must be nice to have so much eye-catching variety up there! These are great.
ReplyDeleteI love to see blimps. I've only seen 3 or 5 in my life. The light in the last photo is cool.
ReplyDeleteAnd what's the new SWF format? I haven't noticed. Or my computer hasn't.
just found your blog. I LOVE THE BLIMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
