This is a look at a dreary morning sky, the promise of a full arch rainbow was there and rain came later in the day. This was the same day which I caught the big Walleye in the next post.

My boat camera has a hard time ding justice to the large rainbow but Lake Hodgson was a blessing to me that day. This lake is my pot of gold.

There are a lot of great skies to visit above.
Wow! great shots and I love that faint rainbow, giving hope in moody sky! And what a Walleye! Wow!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, Tom!

It's so high and delicate, really beautiful! Congratulations on the 'big fish story' too -- it sounds like a great trip out!
ReplyDeleteGreat Photo, love the rainbow shot.
ReplyDeleteOkay .. another rainbow .. I am so tired of all you show offs and your rainbows .. NYC is rainbow free due to the buildings that clog the sky and keep me from joining the club
ReplyDeleteRainbows are beautiful no matter how faint - nice shots!
ReplyDeleteCarletta’s Captures.
Beautiful pictures, so soft!
ReplyDeleteHi Tom, I'm so glad you are not just getting to go fishing--but are catching alot of great ones... I can only imagine what a happy camper you are these days. Keep it going!!!

At the end of the rainbow is a pot of gold, hope you did find it FG. :) Great shots, seldom see rainbows over here.
ReplyDeleteNice skies !!!
ReplyDeleteGreat Walleye and a nice string of fish.
When's the fish fry?
does a rainbow signify good catch? that's a big fish, how did you cook it?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Carletta. Rainbows are great no matter how faint. Thanks for sharing and hosting the skywatch friday.
ReplyDeleteI caught me some rainbows too! Not the fish kind though ;-) Great shots and I also love your little chipmunk.

ReplyDeleteI love rainbows and appreciate you sharing these views of yours with us today.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Looks like you could just troll on over and pick up the pot of gold right out of the water. ;D
ReplyDeleteWith your personal pot of gold, you shouldn't worry about your boat camera. You got the rainbow -- now concentrate on enjoying that pot of gold.

On the Lake fishing and a rainbow. Doesn't get much better. Still getting tomatoes and green peppers from garden and even picked a few strawberries. I don't know why I'm getting them now

ReplyDeleteI just love a rainbow!
I love rainbows. Great shots.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! It seems I haven't seen a rainbow for ages ... Thanks for sharing this one.
ReplyDeleteThe picture in your header is absolutely fantastic!
Enjoy your weekend.
Wonderful! The rainbow helps make the gloom better. We've had nothing but rain most of the week and no rainbow. But obviously it was great weather for fishing!
ReplyDeleteDreary or not, a great capture of the ghost-like rainbow! :) Have a wonderful Ohio weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I haven't seen a rainbow in a long time.......mmmmmm.
ReplyDeleteTom, I like very much these views with the rainbow! Very nice skies!
ReplyDelete"This lake is my pot of gold."
ReplyDeleteYup; I hear that! Thanks for the sky tour, Fishing Guy.
This was our day yesterday and again today. We did get much needed rain yesterday (1.5 inches) and more today.
ReplyDeleteAh, what's more beautiful than a rainbow over a lake! It was a good omen for ya. :)
ReplyDeleteI can see it. Beautiful. I love rainbows.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of the lake being the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. What a neat way to think of both water and 'bow.
ReplyDeleteNice rainbow!!
