Timing can be everything in getting a special capture. I was in the back yard trying to get a Chipmunk that crawled to the top of a garden post to get a better view of the area. I heard the whoosh of gas going into a hot air balloon. The balloon was fairly close and I had taken my better camera out because the Chipmunk is so small. The results are a colorful balloon in a sullen sky. These were taken from my front yard.
It is shown here over the trees from the back yard. It was fairly close and I got some neat shots.
We just had ballooning festival in Plano, TX lately. It's a fun way to spend an afternoon...but I found out that it's not so fun when it's raining.
ReplyDeleteYou did get a couple of great shots of that hot air balloon. Do you see these often near your house?

Almost subliminally, I caught the word "chipmunk" in the text, and started looking for a hidden chipmunk in the hot air balloon. It's okay; I got it now. Nice to have them balloons liven up hazy skies. Thanks for sharing.

George asks if you see them often. Don't I remember seeing this same balloon in a different setting sometime ago? It seems it was far off.
