My friend Luiz from Brazil does the Today's Flowers Meme, check it out. Come and join with your flower photos. Sunday at 2 GMT is the post time.
This is from June when the Wild Blackberries were in blossom with a visitor.
Do you recognize the Red Clover in all it's beauty.

You can get really close to see this beautiful flower. The leaves are also pretty cool.

My wifes favorite the daisy. These are wild but still a great flower.
You can see a lot of great flower captures above.

They are all wonderful blooms. I love the daisies too, the red clover is a pretty color and I can't wait to see my blackberries come back.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots.
The only touch of warmth here in CT are your lovely flowers.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to start 2010 Tom.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. (Especially the Clover photos!)
A lovely series of flowers and the clover leaves are beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteThese are great. For some reason the red clover made me think of rhodies. Maybe because this a.m. I have watched my poor rhodies braving winter, and they seem so very small.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots.

ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen a prettier photo of clover.

Great macros Tom. I'd have purple fingers later in the season grazing on blackberries.
ReplyDeleteI remember flowers and colours!
ReplyDeleteI love wild daisies and clover too.
ReplyDeleteBoth are loved by bees as well.
Clovers are a valuable survival food, as they are high in protein, widespread, and abundant. Dried flower heads can also be steeped in hot water for a healthful, tasty tea.
Lovely pictures.
Happy New Year,
Gisela

ReplyDeleteThe daisy is especially nice. You captured the light well. I agree the Clover flower is underrated. It does need to be studied up close.
