I was on a walk around the neighborhood when I saw an American Goldfinch in a tree. He posed quite nicely for me in the blue sky.
I went for a walk at the Kent Bog and something neat usually happens when I visit there. I spotted a bird in a Tamarack Tree and immediately knew it was a first for me. I moved around for a confirming photo but he was hard to capture. It was a black bird with a white breast lined with orange.
Finally it moved, I had captured my first Eastern Towhee and was happy with the photo.

ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of both the goldfinch and the Eastern Towhee. The picture of the Eastern Towhee must have been especially hard to get given all the needles around it.
ReplyDeleteI got s chance to see the gold finch last year on the Cape, Have not seen one yet this year. You had a very fruitful walk with three birds in the camera.

Good shots of both birds. I have to look harder to see the Towhee here. It is cloudy and they don't show up as well as they do in the sunshine.
