This is my posting for the My World Meme. It is hosted by Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Sylvia and myself. Won't you join in, I want to see where you live and thrive.
Brixen, Italy - located in the foothills of the Alps. This is the second place the band performed as they crossed the Alps.
There was a church from the 1400's on the square.
The Shaker Band performed in front of the church from the 1700's.
A quick look inside, check out the ceiling.

My son the band's director giving the rules for the rest of the day after the performance.
I do hope you enjoyed the northern part of Italy.

We've been thinking of remodeling our church. Can I borrow these pics? (just kidding)
ReplyDeletelove old world charms, the church is beautiful.Tx for sharing.Nancy
ReplyDeleteWhat? You didn't whip out the cows you packed in your suit case, strap their bells on their necks and head up to those delightful meadows and blend in like a native?

ReplyDeleteBeautifull pictures!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Alps has to be just amazing.
I am wondering how difficult it would be to get some good photos of those frescos on the ceiling. We're talking multiple floodlights, probably slow shutter speeds on a tripod.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this lovely trip down memory lane. It still seems odd to see Brixen as Italian when historically and linguistically and architecturally it is still Austrian. Ah the fortunes of ware and foreign powers redistributing geography. The Baroque church is really something isn't it?
ReplyDeletei feel like singing "o sole mio", if only i know the lyrics lol. great shots FG.

ReplyDeletewow...wonderful stuff. This trip must have been a real dream come true for a photographer.
