My World Tuesday Season # 2 Episode # 33

This is my posting for the My World Meme. It is hosted by Klaus, Sandy, Wren,  Sylvia and myself. Won't you join in, I want to see where you live and thrive. Click to visit other sites.

Guanajauto, Mexico - The capitol city of the state of Guanajuato. I took this photo from the statue of the freedom fighter El Pipilia (Pepe).
I loved this hedge in front of the church. It turned out to be trees.
This is a close-up of the statue.

This is from the town looking back up to the statue from the same church.

Here is a view of the front of the church.

I have been to wonderful places for a photographer in My World.

  20. So many buildings. A busy place for sure, but I like the kaleidoscope of colors they use for those structures. A thought just occurred to me. If you turned that photo into a jigsaw puzzle, I'll bet it would be a challenging one!

  27. Awesome shots. I didn't see where they were shot and I just had to know where this place was. It is very different than the other places I've been in Mexico.

An acquaintance from Canada, John Boxtel who owns a hotel in Oaxacu was commissioned to do a large statue of Juan Diego. I googled it but was unable to find out if he ever completed this work.

  28. Oh my goodness, and look at your banner picture! What a visual treat I'm having by visiting here.

Congratulations on the post of the week mention at Hilary's blog, by the way.

I know that there is likely all sorts of things going on in that area. Perhaps crowds bustle. I know that certain travel programs assure me that I would want to keep very close track of my wallet, for instance and yet...doesn't it look like you have gained a window back through time?

It just looks as if it is an image from a far more elegant time.

Thank you for showing me your world. Mine involves walking my dog now, and I will doubtless have to pick up dog poo in the course of that. Thank you for the beauty infusion before I undertake that task!
