I'm pleased to share some more photos from Mexico. This is the city of Leon, Mexico - population of 1,000,000 people. I was on an overlook with a neat sky.
Looking back I was near a church on a hill. What a neat structure and many people make a pilgrimage to the top of the hill.
But this is the real view of the church and all the communication devices. It definitely takes away from the beauty.

This was a neat cloud that I thought looked like a fish surely ready to bite. it was in my daughters back yard. What do you think?
See a lot of other great skies above.

Gorgeous pictures! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots of Mexico. The church over the hill looks great.
ReplyDeleteYou've capture different interesting shots!
ReplyDeleteWow another beautiful skies!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend ahead.
Quite a beautiful view in the first one! That is a fish for sure Fishing Guy!
ReplyDeletehey fishing guy, great sky shots you have there!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason it doesn't look as hot there as I always imagine! Great shots, FG!
ReplyDeletebeautiful shots,i love the idea of the fish same thing when i found a dolphins out of my skywatch....its funny we can always have something out of the clouds formation....
ReplyDeleteBut if you turn that idea around - people in the 21st century don't build churches any longer. Our monuments now are skyscrapers and communications towers. So we are simply continuing to build our monuments on the high land. Maybe in a couple hundred years ago, our descendants will be preserving them!
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, that cloud is so totally a fish!
Wow, that's such an original sight! I've never come across a church in the middle of telecom devices, really interesting!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!

Fantastic shots, Tom! Love the sky in first one and the beautiful church! And thanks for more lovely memories for me of my time in Mexico! Loved Leon! Thanks so much for signing me in, do appreciate it! Have a great weekend!

Looking for those raindrops!!!! Great photos Tom. Modern technology really can distract from the view. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSmiles
thanks for the tour. lovely skies.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos for sky watch : )
ReplyDeleteCant get much better than this Tom, brill skies.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Mexican skies, Tom... Interesting to see all of the communication things around that gorgeous church... Too bad about that.
ReplyDeleteBetsy
You're a wizard with a camera Tom...thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSandi
Great combination of skies and wonderful buildings!
ReplyDeleteTerrence looks at the sky
What a beautiful place! Great captures of Mexico. Thank you for taking us there. Wish I could visit the place someday. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend ahead, Tom!
lovely set of photos. yup the third photo reminds me of a fish! :)
ReplyDeleteThose towers are certainly competing with the church steeple! And, they have won out the territory...unfortunately. Very interesting sight but beautiful sky. I frequently try to see shapes and pictures in clouds like this...more often than not, there is something recognizable in them for a moment in time, anyway.
ReplyDeleteQuite a busy sky with all the towers, but they do take away form the old church.
ReplyDeleteNice view of Leon and I like the fish cloud. A shame about all those towers surrounding the church.
ReplyDeleteThe last shot reminds me of large cotton ball. Great.
ReplyDeletecute lone cloud!
ReplyDeleteFabulous big skies.. And a gorgeous fluffy cloud!
ReplyDeleteSmog! Great views of the city. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteaw. too bad the towers spoil the view but really amazing structure nevertheless :)
ReplyDeleteI see a hungry fish, too!
ReplyDeleteThat church sure does look odd with all those communication devices; you're right. I suppose churches have seen themselves as a different kind of communication device; now the gadgets all over the place perhaps underwrite the conversation!
Beautiful scenery...those towers do distract from the focal point of the photo...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful series of skywatch photos. Love the view in the first shot!
ReplyDeleteFirst photo is very impressive.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skywatch shots! Loved the header picture of your blog....
ReplyDeletePixellicious Photos
I'm not sure even you could land that cloudy fish! You got some great sky pictures in Leon, but I agree that the cell towers certainly distract from the beauty of the church.
ReplyDeleteYour Mexican skies are lovely, but your header just takes my breath away.....
ReplyDeletethe alst one is simply amazing..congrats

Ah...Have a nice weekend, dear
Beautiful skies. The church looked really beautiful and old but know what you mean about all those antenna. And yes the cloud in your daughter's garden definitely looked like a fish.
ReplyDeleteI agree. They should move the towers and give the church back its beauty.
ReplyDeleteThat "fish" reminds me of a pirhanna (sp?).
