Today's Flowers # 96 - Peonies

My friend Luiz from Brazil does the Today's Flowers Meme, check it out. Come and join with your flower photos. Sunday at 2 GMT is the post time.

This is a prolific Pink Peony that is at the corner of my house. You can see the White Peony to the right which is much smaller plant then this one.
This Pink Peony puts out many large beautiful blooms.

I framed this one with the inner color.

See a lot of great flowers above.

  1. Peonies are my favorites! I think they smell prettier than roses. I like to pick them when they are just opening, put them in a small fishbowl full of water, and let them open up. Not only will the blossom fill the bowl, but it fills the room with a beautiful aroma. Great photos. They remind me of my mom. ~karen

  3. I posted peonies also!

They're one of my favorite flowers and I keep adding new plants every year so I can have lots for cutting, as well.

  14. simply superb. Mine are over, but I picked some, wrapped them in newsprint, and refrigerated them. They are supposed keep 6 months and to open right up in water. We'll see!! Check out "Peony Envy" for the method.

  16. Love peonies and they smell so good. Bad part is that they don't last long. Mine is gone and because of the rain the petals fell off. Happy Sunday!
