Sky Watch Friday 4-11

If you would like to join Sky Watch Friday go to Wiggers World

This was a nicer week with a promise of Spring getting closer. We hit the 70'F two days but there was frost on my car windows this morning. Guess what, the weathermen are predicting snow for the weekend. What would April be without a snow.

We had a beautiful sunset one night this week. I haven't seen many of these.
I went to a local park to get pictures of the two towering trees as they go into the sky.
The winter has hurt this one some but I think it will put on a display this year.
You can see the loose branch in the sky.

  2. I love the glow of the sunset through the trees. And I love fractal skeletal tree photos. Yours are very full and interesting.

  6. Good sangin, good pitchers, and good fun. Who better than a fisherman to know the beauty of the sky. Red sky at morning sailors take warning - Red sky at night sailors delight. Good fishing from the Texican.

  7. The tree in the bottom photo has an intriguing shape. Makes me think of an obelisk.

These weather patterns are nuts. I comfort myself by recalling the heat wave of 6 years ago, when kids were swimming on Easter vacation!

  15. Nice tree and sky shots. I guess trees in any form are one of my favorite things to photograph.
I hope the snow fizzles out before it gets up here to Maine! We had 66ยบ yesterday.

  16. Great old tree. Thanks for sharing Fishing Guy. You get to get out and go fishing lately or is the water still to cold. ;-) Supposed to be nice this weekend (here anyway)

  17. I love the shapes of trees against the sky--a nice way to appreciate them--before they all leaf-out.

  18. Very nice photos! Such great colors...
I feel sorry for the broken tree... You should see the sorry state of the trees here in my town, after a tornado destroyed 95% of the town last year!

  20. Beautiful skies for sure. The sky and clouds looking through the trees are really great. Have fun this weekend, (fishing?) :)

  22. Love the towering trees. The ice storm we had here in December damaged most of the trees here too.

Someone told me that this Winter is being considered the "worst Winter ever" back home in Ohio.

It's almost fishing time! Ahhh, that makes me miss my dad, the wolf, and Mogadore Reservoir!

  31. The weather's crazy but soon it'll be so warm we'll be complaining about the heat. ;-) But I do hope you didn't get any snow.

Tree limbs are beautiful against the sky, I think.
