Sky Watch Friday #27

The new Sky Watch Friday is doing really well. Please check out the site and link in if you wish to participate. There were 361 people last week with beautiful Sky photos. You can link in from my side bar or at the start of this post.

We have had gloomy skies lately and a little blue is really nice. We are at 1F this morning with a cold night coming tonight. I am staying with some shots along the Cuyahoga River for Sky Watch. You can see Winter in the sky. I'm posting the street light photos for Dot the originator of Sky Watching.
There was this small blue patch with the sun fighting to get out. The old train station, Pufferbelly Restaurant, is in relief in the shot.
The lamp posts always make a good sky foreground.
You can see a portion of the Cuyahoga River in this photo.
I added this one to show how much brighter it looked if you used the blue section of the sky. That wasn't the true sky I was seeing.
There will be brighter skies through the world but I feel my skies show the time of the year in North East Ohio. It has been a tough Winter so far.

  60. Although a blue sky is feeling much nicer, grey clouds can make a picture mucht more interesting. yours are fine grey clouds. Especially the ones with te lampposts are beautiful.
    Have an good weekend!

  61. So much happening in your sky, despite the sun is barely appearing. Lovely!
    Warm greetings from West Africa!

  62. Your skies are still lovely, and I love the old lampposts. I have some pics that I took from an old area of our dowtown, but didn't put them for Skywatch, because I used the ones I took from my parents' instead. There are some lampposts in them, too, but I don't think they're as old.

I also enjoyed looking at the other pics on this blog page.

Thanks for what you do for Skywatch, and I like seeing people's "My World" posts, even though I am too overwhelmed to participate in that.

We have had such views over here this week.. but today we have mild weather... and bright blue skies... we have a weather warning for strong winds later so I will see how it pans out.
Shame that Mr. Linky went down this week as the Sky Watcgh numbers are rightly climbing up again each week... all the best
