This is my posting for the
My World Meme. It is hosted by Klaus, Ivar, Sandy, Wren, Louise and myself. Last week there were 100 people showing their world to us. Won't you join in, I want to see where you live and thrive. Here is part of 'My World'. Happy Memorial Day to all who remember the fallen soldiers.
There have been two days in a row for the feeders to be emptied. I am hesitant to call them bird feeders. The Black Squirrel has been getting up there and sharing with all below. There is a Grey Squirrel and a Mourning Dove below.

The Grey Squirrel seems to be enjoying the situation.

The Chipmunk thought this was a good idea so he also got into the feeder. He jumped down but must have climbed up.

I am still taking a morning walk and this morning I got a surprise in a back yard by the soccer field. It is not a statue. I watched it go back in the woods and run across the open soccer field.

You see other worlds from the above link.
Nice photos, the deer does look like a statue at first glance :)
ReplyDeleteGreat captures, Tom. The deer is beautiful. We have some of the same problems you have, but more with chipmunks than squirrels.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo of the deer, Tom... I can't afford to feed the squirrels--but luckily, they don't come to my feeders YET.... I have a hard time keeping the chipmunks away though... ha
ReplyDeleteHave a great day. Hope you had a nice trip.
Betsy
Hey, I just posted my squirrel, too...come see her. I like your gray squirrel...we don't see too many of them. (None here in the city, of course, just occasionally when out for a drive.
ReplyDeleteI think the black and gray squirrels are in cahoots with eachother and the dove, since they eat usually from the ground.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots!
Thanks for sharing your world.
WOW, great great photo's!!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I can see why you just call it a feeder. That chipmunk is all up in there. :-D I can say I don't have that problem. I've never seen a squirrel in my yard. :-)
ReplyDeleteNice shot of the deer.
Beautiful encountered at the last picture.
ReplyDeleteHungry little guys!

ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful wildlife you have a round your place.
ReplyDeleteNice deer 'statue', such nice photos.
The deer looks so calm standing there. Like a statue. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteCute squirrels and a very regal looking deer!
ReplyDeleteI've just about given up feeding the birds since all I do really is feed those dastardly squirrels!
ReplyDeleteThem squirrels are such great fun to watch and yep they sure can eat a lot! Love the deer statue, NOT, I had ten wander through my yard/woods last night and then a raccoon appeared and the deer sure behaved funny. I got to see one walk backwards not wanting to take it's eyes off the raccoon. Fun.
ReplyDeleteThe shot of the deer is amazing. Squirrels, raccoons, even bears like bird feeders. I enjoyed this post.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful deer! The squirrels are just adorable as well... You're truly lucky to have so much nature close to your backyard!
ReplyDeleteAmazing shots :)))))
ReplyDeleteI really like the second and last photo.... really nice captures of the squirrel and deer..
