Camera Critters # 61

Camera Critters by Misty Dawn, go here to see who's participating.

Today for my CC post I'm going to show some photos from the insects I've been seeing. The first is a wasp that landed on my deck.
The second is a grub I found while trying to plant a rose bush.
This is a fly that was on the siding, they really are pretty neat.
The final one is a lady bug I saw while on a walk.
You can see a lot of great critters on the site above. Joan, hope you enjoyed the show.

  1. The ladybird is my favourite :) Well done for photographing the fly without it flying away!

  2. Hi Fishing Guy!

I love your critters for the week, even the grub, that will hopefully become food for the birds.

  7. Is this what it means to catch the photography bug? You got great macros -- just keep that grub away from the rose you planted!

  14. I don't think too many of us females would be taking pictures of those bugs... Seeing them made me chill. BUT--of course, my sons all used to love bugs... So--I guess it's a 'male' thing!!!! ha ha

  15. Yes I did. Thank you Tom. Love them all but I have to add that our flies are more attractive than yours. :) They have hairy butts and stripes. :)

  20. Nice shots. When I first moved into this house and was digging up parts to plant a garden, I saw lots of those nasty little grubs. I stopped going barefoot that year. :-)

  26. Hi, FishingGuy! Great shots--I'm particularly fond of the ladybug. I've got so many aphids right now that I think we could feed an army of ladybugs. :(

I've unearthed several grubs this season as well. (We even treated the yard this year because the beetles were so bad last summer.) I scrolled up and looked at the rosebush. It's beautiful!
