Camera Critters by Misty Dawn, go here to see who's participating. These are a few more critters I saw while visiting The Wilds in Ohio. This is the African Wild Dog. They are in a separate enclosure so as to not feed on the other animals. Click on it and check the fly on its nose.

This is a Sable Antelope, what a majestic animal. The tail is up, back up quick.

This is a really fun shot of the Persian Onager. There are only 700 animals remaining in the wild.

You bet I took a lot of Reticulated Giraffe photos. They have the same number of bones in their neck as we do. But theirs are a lot bigger then ours.

This are the Prezwalaski's Wild Horses. They came right beside the bus. The little foal was a cutie.

You can see more from The Wilds below.
You sure saw lots of wildlife on that tour.
ReplyDeleteMore great shots!
My post is here: Carletta’s Captures.
Great shots! I've seen signs and ads for this place, but have never been. Looks like something we should check out with the kids.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! What fabulous shots! I love the hippos in the header too. They are hippos aren't they?
ReplyDeleteThe giraffe is fantastic and the critters in the previous post.
Excellent shots, each and every one. Love 'em.
Love the little horse-so sweet.

Love the little foal!! and oh those giraffes...love giraffes, but who doesn't!!?
What wonderful wildlife photographs. Thanks for sharing ;--)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Great photos of the animals!! Giraffes and humans have 7 vertebrae in their necks, but swans have 22! Explains all those graceful curves they make!!
ReplyDeleteI had not realized there was more than one kind of giraffe!
Nice! Next time I am in Ohio you have to take me here!
ReplyDeleteCraig
That antelope is sure a handsome fellow! The foal is a cutie for sure...
ReplyDeleteNaturally I love this post Tom :) What a fantastic post this is. Do you know if the wild dogs are breeding? That are very difficult to breed in captivity as conditions have to be just right and only the alpha female will fall pregnant.
ReplyDeleteWe do not have the reticulated gitaffe here as id is only found in central Africa but they are really beautiful.
The Sable has to be the most majestic of all the antelopes we have. This is a female as the male is black with a white belly. An awesome animal to find in the wild. They stick together in family groups and are not easy to find as they like thick bush.
Love the other animals too. I remember going to one of these parks while on one of my visits there too but cannot remember what the name was. I wonder if it was the same place?
These are wonderful. The antelope and the horses are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHi Tom, Great Camera Critter pictures. Love those Persian Onagers. I've never seen them before I don't think...
