This is my posting for the
My World Meme. It is hosted by Klaus, Ivar, Sandy, Wren, Louise and myself. Won't you join in, I want to see where you live and thrive.
The Middlebury Avenue Bridge is open for business. It didn't open on time but it is a fine structure. I had shown it in
March on this post. That post will lead you to the old bridge. It looks quite different now.

The structure under the bridge is quite nice with two piers and rip-rap on the sides.

This is a view from the bridge looking up the Cuyahoga River (means the crooked river). This is where the river turns from coming South through Kent to going West toward Akron before it makes it final turn to the North toward Cleveland.

I hope you visit some other great sights around the world.
WOW, that is an awesome new bridge! Thanks for the update on it.
ReplyDeleteTake care
I especially like the top picture because I appreciate photos which are apparently empty but which lead the eye all over the place, as this one does.
ReplyDeleteThe car, having come . . . and almost gone . . . it makes one think about befores and afters and stories and histories, as does the bend.
I wonder if fishing is allowed on the bridge. I'm glad it's open now.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new work week.
That's a beautiful bridge and great shots.
ReplyDeleteYour love for bridges always make me smile, Tom. I don't think I'll be able to see a bridge in Africa without thinking of you! Lovely world you showed us!

Hmmm...looks like Karl could quite easily kayak under the new bridge. Any fish in the river?
ReplyDeleteWell the new bridge looks stout and river and scenery are pretty. But, I really like the look of the old narrow bridge. Do understand about safety.
ReplyDeleteIt has taken six years to complete a 3 mile section of a freeway, I guess its better late then never.
ReplyDeleteA cano up that river would be great!
ReplyDeleteIt does look a lot different now Tom. I am sure everyone will be pleased it is finished at last.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to have the bridge finished at last.

ReplyDeleteBy golly I think you could have climbed on that big deer and ridden him, Fishing Guy!
ReplyDeleteCrooked or not, Cuyahoga sounds almost poetic each time the name is spoken.
ReplyDeleteHello it has been way too long since I have stopped over and seen your beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteI love them all. I took the summer off and I am just getting back into a routine.
As for now I haven't signed back up for any photo memes. I am going to be taking an online photography class this October to learn all of the basics and fundamentals of working with my camera.
That runs for 8 weeks and I think will keep me pretty busy.
I can't pick a favorite out of any of your photos. They are all beautiful as always.
I hope you had a great summer and will have a great week!!
Jackie
