The header theme this week by Tom and is "Sports". Mac,Tom, Darla, Martha, Gail's Man and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week.
My sport is fishing and Tom was kind after all my travels to make it an easy post. I showed this Large Mouth Bass before but this is a second photo. Note the line wrapped up in hook on the plug.
Mr. Wiskers was quite the fighter. A 2009 Fish Ohio Channel Catfish.
This was a fish that bit off more then it could chew. Mr. Crappie tried to swallow this Bluegill whole in one bite. To think my wifes says I eat too fast.
This was my 2009 Fish Ohio Walleye from Lake Hodgson.
The beauty of the lake can be seen in the early morning. I enjoy the sport of fishing and also the beauty of nature.
My final choice was trolling across Lake Hodgson in the morning light.

ReplyDeleteStunning Header... and a sporting post to make me jealous... I have done the odd bit of sea fishing and really enjoyed it... there's a lot of fly fishing in these parts for trout and that as always 'caught' my attention.

ReplyDeleteI like the crappie eating the bluegill, and the sunrise. Very subtle use of sport in the header with the fishing pole. But it's your sport.

Walleye makes for really good eats. I've caught and cooked my own just once. The in between part was done by someone much more experienced than I.

ReplyDeleteSome great fish there! I'd say you are a successful fisherman (although for some catching isn't what makes it successful, right?) With all the beautiful places you have to fish, I can see why you want to be out on the water.
