Header Competition Season 3 # 27temp

There is no theme this week, Mac is off to the lakes so our small group is taking a break. If anyone wants to join please contact Mac or myself.

I decide to show one of my favorite big birds the great blue heron. They work the shore for fish and I love to capture them as I'm also fishing. Here is one I captured along the shore and taking flight.
They are so beautiful.
He wasn't having a lot of luck.
We weren't either, I don't like cold fronts. We got a little to close.
He took flight, what a magnificent bird.
I do hope you enjoyed the show.

  4. They ARE beautiful and you've captured them in their essence! I live among lots of Great Blues and I don't find them to be easy to photograph at all! They are very skittish and don't allow you to get close enough very often!! Great job!

  8. I definitely enjoyed the show. I try photographing the blue herons around here but usually from the road. Not ideal. I've captured one or two on a hike, though.

    Beautiful images there, Fishing Guy!
They are one of my favorite birds also. I hope I get to go to the lake and catch some great shots, too.
