The theme this week by Lew is "Reflections". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.
This is one of my favorite things to do from the boat. I enjoy capturing birds and their reflections. Her are a pair of young Green Herons near the shore. What a show they put on with their colors.
This is a female Mallard Duck that doesn't have the normal coloring.
This Cormorant was drying it's wings on a buoy, what a show.
The morning mist made this shot special. There is the Great Blue Heron and the tree reflecting on the water.
Here is another in the cattails fishing the shoreline.
How about a Canada Goose in a wet parking lot, Pretty cool, eh.
See what the others show on my side bar.

Bird Beautiful DF Tom. All lovely reflecting shots.
ReplyDeleteThese are all good reflection shots, but I think my favourite is the very foggy one.I love that look.
ReplyDeleteLove the cormorant! looks like it is trying to fly off with the buoy.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures reminded me of some other files I could look in for reflections. Great birds, Tom.
ReplyDeleteThe misty shot has a classic Loch Ness feel about it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, all. Imagine, water that isn't frozen! I'm ready for spring!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely got some beautiful reflections. It's obvious you get some great catches even if the fish aren't biting!
