Today I'm going to show you the Village of Brady Lake. It was named after Captain Samuel Brady an Indian fighter in the 1780's. You can read more about him in a previous post here and here.
Note to self: "Wind down your window when shooting into the Sun".
I do not fish this lake and all my photos from the lake are drive-by. They do not give you a good place to pull off or park to take photos. This is a look from the North End of the lake through a privacy fence.
This is a little ways around the corner of the lake looking to the mud dam. If you click on this one you will see the Canada Goose that snuck into the shot on the right shoreline.BTW: The Cavs swept the Pistons and move to the second round of the play-offs. King James is doing his thing. They will play Miami or Atlanta.

Lovely pictures. Those lake scenes look very relaxing.

I love looking out at lakes! What a lovely place!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Boo hoo for my Pistons!
These are lovely. Would love to get near a body of water that supported so much bird life.
ReplyDeleteThose views make me want to get my boat ready. NOW!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a lovely place to sit and soak in the beauty.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice place to visit!

Man, I would love to fishing on that Lake. It looks just the right size.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures.
Well I would be here all day after those birds and such like that would be here. Fascinating potted history too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful lake! Sheba would love to go for a long walk there, and maybe chase a duck or two in the pond! ;-)
ReplyDeleteWarm greetings from Africa!

I'd love to sit on that chair facing the lake and have a wonderful meditation. Beautiful and so serene.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of the lake, Tom... Your 'world' is pretty special!!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad your team is still winning... I hope they win it all---but playing the Lakers may be hard....????
Betsy
Some lovely images there, especially for a Fishing Guy.
ReplyDeleteGreat hyacinths too, in the previous post.
As a Sherwood Anderson/Winesburg Ohio fan, I love the rich history of your world. Do residents still consider it the "Midwest?"
ReplyDeleteAnything less that Cavs and Lakers in finals will be a disappointment. My prediction is Cavs take it in riveting 4-3 series.
ReplyDeleteLooked like a nice place to have picnic and a stroll. Very peaceful.
ReplyDeleteVery Nice Tom- I haven't spent much time around Brady Lake Except driving through it. My grandmother and her family briefly lived in Brady Lake way back in the 1920's. She used to tell how one of their neighbors stole their pies they were letting cool on a window ledge. Fun stuff. Last trip to Munroe Falls was really short but I will let you know when I'm back up again.

Those are some sweet lake shots, pretty good for a drive by!

Sometimes the reflections from the window add to the mood of the pics. Sometimes not always.
ReplyDeletethe lake looks like a good spot for a picnic...to bad there are no pull offs!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this beautiful part of your world with us. I really like your views of the lake.
ReplyDeleteA lovely location!
ReplyDeleteA lovely location!
ReplyDeleteI would love to go and explore the shoreline with a small dingy and camp overnight along the shore. A lovely place by the looks of it. A pity those tiny red bananas do not grown anlong it too as then I would not have to take any food along. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Tom, for the ride in your car around the lake. Such a pity you cannot fish there. It's perfect to sit there and relax! Thanks for the visit! Have a great day! Oh, and thanks for hosting this meme.
ReplyDeleteWatching you my world series is never complete without listening to couple of the songs on your playlist. They just make the experience so wonderful Tom.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures, and a lovely lake. The last shot is simply beautiful! A place would have loved to walk my dog - and using my camera!
ReplyDeletei saw the goose...
ReplyDeletebeautiful lake indeed.
the lakers are doing quite well too.
have a great day.
Nice world out there.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a beautiful lake. Maybe you should try fishing there...
ReplyDeleteLooks really like an excellent spot for bird watching. Your note to yoursefl made me smile. I wouldn't have noticed the reflection if you hadn't pointed it out.
ReplyDeleteHad it been me I would have come home with hundreds of bird shots. Just cannot help myself.
You have managed to just keep to the essential bits and that lovely scenery.
The wire fence in the second shot made me curious. Why is it there?
Ah, what a great looking lake and yay for the goose for getting in the shot! Hehehe ... he stuck his neck up far enough to be a star in your picture!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I'm so slow getting around, I have not been feeling quite up to par. I'm hoping that will change one day.
I hope you are doing well and getting stronger each day.
Hugs to you all♥
How come you don't fish this lake...it looks like a nice place to even just throw in a line with a bobber.
