Today's Flowers #37

My friend Luiz from Brazil does the Today's Flowers Meme, check it out. Come and join with your flower photos. Sunday at 7 GMT is the post time.

These are a few of the flowers blooming in our spring. This is a small wildflower from a mixture of packaged bulbs. Arija let me know it was a Himalayan Anemone.
This is a Daffodil that was growing at the library.
There are a lot of neat flowers blooming in the world.

Camera Critters #54

Camera Critters by Misty Dawn, go here to see who's participating. This week is a post from the Cuyahoga Valley National Park . This is one of two Red Squirrels that was hunting food in the wooded area near the walking path. This is for my Grandson Andrew who enjoys squirrels.

He was very busy and didn't pay much attention to me. It took me a while to find this little guy but once I did I was able to get quite a few shots. He was in the shade for a while.
Eventually he came out into a sunny area.
He was very busy looking for that perfect smell. Where did I bury that acorn last year.
Oh, here it is and it taste perfect.
I really don't mind that guy taking the photos as long as he does me justice.
He is a cutie and I love his red coat.

Friday Fun - With Birds

Friday fun with birds, every once in a while a bird will give you something special to post. These are some of the fun shots I have captured lately.

This little bird was showing just how fluffy he could make himself. He is all puffed up.
Mr. Grackle made his aggressive move at his friends. He wanted their food all to himself.
Mr. Blue-jay after going for his favorite mud bath. "I didn't know the bottom was so soft when I took the bath."
Mr. Canada Goose was none to happy that I took his photo. Look at that crooked neck telling me to get away.
Now I see the problem, he has a runny nose. It's just a Spring cold, you will improve. Michele, I told you I'd get a good Canada Goose shot all drips aside.
The birds do have fun in their own way.

Sky watch Friday #40

Sky Watch Friday is doing really well. Please check out the site and link in if you wish to participate. There were over 300 people last week with beautiful Sky photos. You can link in from my side bar or at the start of this post.

The skies this week have been all over the place and even a little blue.
This has been the norm for the sky as the sun tries to break through.
There are some great skies if you go and visit.

Wednesday Potpourri - Hawks

I saw this hawk spiral from a pine tree and get a small bird for lunch, pretty sure it's a Coopers Hawk which is the medium hawk in the neighborhood. This was just last week with a good 4" of snow. This is from my walk along Fish Creek, in the distance I could see a hawk in a tree.
I was able to get close enough to get this shot. This is another Coopers Hawk.
I also got this one as he decided he had enough of me and escaped into the landscape.
They are certainly a beautiful bird.

What Is It XXI - Answers

Yes, just the common Dandelion and the first one of the season with many more to come. I fancied it up to make it exciting. Can you see the arrowhead greens below? I hope the wild violet didn't fool you. The violet color crop was a dead give away.
Here is where I got the reflection in Fish Creek. It was a little ways back from the creek but was at a good angle. Yes, it was tricky, the back of a basketball backboard. I went in through the pines to get the reflection. Here is a close-up of the black plastic backboard.
I hope you had fun. Speaking of basketball the Cleveland Cavaliers go for a 40-1 home record at the Q tonight. They will be resting players for the play-offs and have the best record in the NBA.
