Camera Critters # 75

Camera Critters by Misty Dawn, go here to see who's participating.

"S" is for Sparrow, my critter for today. They built their nest to emphasize their family name. This Sparrow decided it is fun to sit in my feeder. It will stay there until the last minute and then fly away.
It then goes under my deck and stays until I leave. A constant source of food and some warm bedding.
Check out the critter around the world at the above site.

Sky watch Friday - Season # 4 - Episode # 9

Sky Watch Friday this is the place. Please check out the site and link in if you wish to participate. There were a lot of people with beautiful Sky photos last week. You can link in from my side bar or at the start of this post. You can link a 2:30 PM EDT.

This past week has been the time of the full moon. I took my best camera, the Canon Powershot SX10IS, to capture the sight and was very pleased with the results. You can see a lot of great sky shots above.

What Is It XXXI - Answers

We had some great guesses this week and some fun banter.

#1 Is a grass that grows 9 foot tall (Giant Reed - Phragmites australis per Tom). It grows near the soccer field. This stock was bent over and was still at 5 foot. Tipper was the first one to say grass so I have to give her credit. I do love her site with the great mountain lore. Joan did guess grass in an E-mail, you didn't think it was her hair for real. The second is a snow plow with a flag holder that was broke off on both sides. I was hoping the shape might have said snow plow to the Northerners. Carletta came up with a flag holder which was a big part of the photo. She always has great photos. Craver came in a close second and got two and a half correct. He has a neat macro bug shot today.
#3 Well everyone could see the geese, two groups in fact, but did you see the Snapping Turtle near the stick-up near the shore. You definitely had to click on the photo. That turtle had some great camouflage with the leaves on its back and the moss on its side. Nature Lovin Super Mama had a great guess with the geese and the turtle head. She has a neat site from the tip of the mitt in Michigan. Craig did say snapping turtle but it wasn't under the bridge.
I do welcome Bro into the fracas with some good guesses for his first shot. He doesn't have a blog but maybe he will someday. He is one of my favorite BIL's and takes neat photos.

My World # 48

This is my posting for the My World Meme. It is hosted by Klaus, Ivar, Sandy, Wren, Louise and myself. Won't you join in, I want to see where you live and thrive.

The Blossom Music Center has the Cleveland Orchestra put on a concert honoring Bugs Bunnies 40Th anniversary. This program is put on every Labor Day weekend. We took Golf Boy, his friend and Soccer Boy to the event. There was quite the crowd on the lawn. Children under 12 got in free. Bugs was the star but there were a lot of other characters since the addition of Hanna Barbara to the mix.
Here you can see the full orchestra in the pavilion.
Here is a view of the screen as Porky Pig and Sylvester got into the act.
A fun time was had by all with the orchestral music and the cartoons. The Roadrunner ones were the classic chase scenes with Wiley Coyote hitting the ground.
You can see a lot of great places around the world.
