Header Competition Season 2 #6 - Childhood Antics
The header theme this week by Dave is "Childhood Antics". Mac, Gail's Man, Lanny, Dave and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and start the voting after that.
Darla, Martha and Tom W are on a break. Come back as soon as you are able my friends.
I had to see what to post. Should I think out of the box with a pair of fawns with one licking himself?
Should I use my grandsons having a scuffle, all in fun?(Note to self; keep feet out of the shot.)
I decided to use my other grandsons teaching my son who was in charge.
Go see what the others have to show above.

Header Competition Season 2 # 5 - Persimaaon
The header theme this week by Lanny is "Persimmon". Mac, Gail's Man, Lanny, Dave and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and start the voting after that.
Darla, Martha and Tom W are on a break. Come back as soon as you are able my friends.
Well, I am in a fine mess. I thought it was Pomegranate not Persimmon and I'm already late. O well, here is the wrong subject. I even went to the store to get a photo.
I saw this tree by the lake that had the right color.
I chose this view of my porch with the colorful Pomegranate mum. Oh well, things can click wrong in these older brains, at least it is a fruit.
So see the others, they probably even have the right color or fruit.

Fall has arrived and the leaves have put on a show.
You can see how some trees are proceeding to shed their leaves.
The morning scene show cleared trees and cool weather.
I chose this scene showing the windy days which we are now getting. Fall has arrived.
Check out what others are showing above.

Header Competition Season 2 # 3 - Sound Creation
The header theme this week by Gail's Man is "Sound Creation". Mac, Gail's Man,Lanny, Dave and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and start the voting after that.
Darla, Martha and Tom W are on a break. Come back as soon as you are able my friends.
How could I think about sound creation without remembering our Spring trip crossing the Alps with the Shaker Heights Band. I bring back fond memories of our trip to Europe with a few views of the band creating sound. I start with a town in the foothills of the Alps - Brixen, Italy. This horn was creating a lot of sound as I crept in for the shot.
The trombones were sliding away creating the sound just right.
Can you find a more beautiful scene then from the birthplace of Mozart - Salzburg, Austria. Quite the crowd to hear the band. It was Spring and you could hear the sound of music in the air.

One of my favorite places was Innsbruck, Austria - How I love the tuba. I stood on my head for the shot. Just kidding, but that is me in the yellow shirt.
So I chose a header of the band playing at Innsbruck in the Alps. I love the view from the plaza near the Golden Roof.

Header Competition Season 2 # 2 - Sepia
The header theme this week by Mac is "Sepia". Mac, Gail's Man,Lanny, Dave and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and start the voting after that.
Darla, Martha and Tom W are on a break. Come back as soon as you are able my friends.
How many of you know that SEPIA isn't just a way to make your photos look old. It is actually a process I used as an Engineer to make modified drawings from an original. You would use a special sepia toned paper and run it through a copying machine with your original drawing to make a copy that could be changed. You would then take the sepia copy and using an ammonia solution, that was really smelly, to take out the original dimension and put in the changed dimension you wanted. You ended up with an out of scale drawing but it could be done quickly and that was the purpose of the SEPIA. The world of computers and ACAD drawings has made the process obsolete. So today we use the SEPIA to make cool effects on a photo.
I took a photo of the lake as I set out at dawn in the pursuit of fish. Can you see the flock of Canada Geese in front of the island? Here is the original photo,
and here is the sepia of the lake, I think it is a cool effect.
I decided to use a American Swallowtail Butterfly photo for my header so here is the original,
and above is the SEPIA.
Check out what other have to show from the above links.
