"Volunteers"

The theme this week by Kathy is "Volunteers". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. 

When I think of Volunteers I think about our military personnel. Every 4TH of July we honor these people with a parade. This is a famous scene with the flag raised on Iwo Jima during World War II on February 23,1945 was what I chose for my header. 

 Here are some of the vets who may have been drafted or were volunteers.

Butterflies

The theme this week by Lew is "Butterflies". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. 

This is a neat subject. I went fishing today and guess what decided to ride with me for a short time. I was able to get this butterfly in several parts of the boat. It landed on a towel on a seat, I thought this was some interesting color combinations. It was tasting the yellow towel.

 It was opening and closing its wings.

It went over to a trolling rod holder.

It then went upside down for a show.

It finally went to the rear wooden panel to show off.

Quomodocunquize

The theme this week by Mac is "Quomodocunquize". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. 

Yes, I said what is this. It means to make money in any possible way. I don't know how Mac found the word but I can't pronounce it. So here is a way I saw people making money. Every Saturday ,through the Spring, Summer and Fall, there is a farm market under the Haymaker Parkway Bridge. I captured some of the ways people were making money. I went to the market to see how they were making money.

Sweet honey.

Flowering plants. There were a lot of choices.

SMOKE

The theme this week by Craver is "Smoke". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

This is the reason I like this with a water loaded plane going toward the smoke.

"CATS"

The theme this week by me is "Cats". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. 

This week being my choice I knew what I was going to show. I could have gone for a Cat in Black 

or White. 

I also could have shown this cat in Black and White by the stream.

I really thought I would show some of the Channel Cats I caught this year starting with this 18" one. It was a cold May day.

I could have shown this 25" Channel Cat caught in July.

I really was going to show this 28" Fish Ohio Channel Cat that was a great fight on my Shakespeare Microspin .

Instead I thought I would show a trip to The Wilds in east central Ohio where I saw some Big Cats from Africa the Cheetah.

The Big Cats would pace around the fields.

I finally chose this pair of Big Cats laying under a tree for my header.

"What's in the Clouds?"

The theme this week by Kathy is "What's in the Clouds?". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. 

This was an interesting choice. I often look to the clouds to see what is in them. It's not too often you look to the clouds and see our former President Bill Clinton so I chose it as my header.

 

I was really happy when I saw this big cloud fish.

I loved this cloud, could be a snail. What do you see?

This cloud reminded me of a gargoyle.

I saw a man talking to his dog. Do you?

How about a Labradoodle in pink jumping in the sky.

This is fire in the clouded sky. I hope you enjoyed my cloud trip.
