Group Portait

The theme this week by Craver  is "Group Portrait". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew, Christine, Wiggers and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

When I think of group portraits I think of our 50th wedding celebration. This group photo caught the fun of the day perfectly.

 This was a celebration of family.

The women were showing off.

The kids were also having fun in their own way.

"Celebration"

My family had two celebrations this month. We went to Leon, Mexico this past week to see our grandson Andrew graduate from high school. Here is a red carpet walk for the big entry. The all night party is a family affair in Mexico. Andrew chose a cutie for his entry partner.  

 Grandma had a slow dance with her grandson.

His sister Rachel and cousin Coreena were having fun on the dance floor.

Who knew The Mask would show up?

Did you ever see a Minion at a dance? You do in Mexico.

My son-in- law's grandfather, Papa Wise turned 90.

It was a real surprise for him.

His older brother was there.They both served in WWII. His brother was stationed in England while he went to Germany. 

My grandson Kegan and his papa enjoyed the party. Kegan was back from college after completing his first year. Papa Wise at 90 and still drives and works every day.

"Strings"

Guy Pernetti, friend, neighbor, and a musician with Strings. This is my favorite stringed instrument the Dobro Steel Guitar. Guy has a lot of guitars he uses during his performance. You can hear his music at the link to his name.

He plays a great stringed guitar.

He is also a great singer/songwriter.

Here is one of the main bridges in Kent. It is the Main Street Bridge across the Cuyahoga River which separates the East and West sides of the town. 

 Here is a view from the West side of the river.

This is looking up river through the bridge.

This is the newest Kent bridge. It is one bridge North of Main Street and is the Fairchild Avenue Bridge while under construction.

It is now complete and opened to traffic.

CURVES

The theme this week by Christine is "Curves". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew, Christine, Wiggers and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. 

Where do you find curves in nature? Why everywhere you look. Here is a Chipmunk with a lot of curves. I love the curves in it's stripped pattern.

 Here is a curvy Gray Squirrel.

Here is a Fox Squirrel in the wild.

I enjoy the curves on my Black Squirrels.

There are so many curves on a Bunny Rabbit. 

You even find curves on the spots on a Deer Fawn.

Finally a Red Ear Bluegill with so many curves.

Don't Rock the Boat

The theme this week by Mac is "Don't Rock the Boat". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew, Christine, Wiggers and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. 

The kayaks are a boat you should not rock. It is a boat that can flip over. Use care, please don't rock these boats. 

 They do look like they are enjoying a row.

Sometimes the boat is a board, don't rock it. 

It does look like a stable platform.

Okay it's Spring, it was 74F on Monday and then we had snow overnight. The temperature dropped to 28F. These flowers are wondering who rocked the boat.

Here is a robin in the Ohio Buckeye Tree wondering why he came North to these conditions. How do you find worms on the ground when it is snow covered?
