SMOKE
The theme this week by Craver is "Smoke". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.
This is my smoke header photo. The sky filled with smoke from a forest fire at Horwood Lake Lodge in Timmons, Ont. Canada.
This is the reason I like this with a water loaded plane going toward the smoke.

Fantastic shots!! Some really good action photos.. We have had a dry summer here in the mountains, and last night was a wicked lightning storm, so I pray there weren't any fires... hope you are doing well.

A fire is always a scary thing. Rural Ontario depends so heavily on volunteers, too.

Great shots of the airborne firefighters! There has been too many such fires this year.
This was not a good occasion, but you were in a good place to capture an excellent shot! I also like your close-up of the airplane.
beautiful scary photos...smoke near woods terrify me. Maybe it is because we are surrounded by forests, and I worry about fire...but lovely none the less
