This is my posting for the My World Meme. It is hosted by Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Sylvia and myself. Won't you join in, I want to see where you live and thrive.
Brixen, Italy - located in the foothills of the Alps. This is the second place the band performed as they crossed the Alps.
There was a church from the 1400's on the square.
The Shaker Band performed in front of the church from the 1700's.
A quick look inside, check out the ceiling.
My son the band's director giving the rules for the rest of the day after the performance.
I do hope you enjoyed the northern part of Italy.

What? You didn't whip out the cows you packed in your suit case, strap their bells on their necks and head up to those delightful meadows and blend in like a native?
Oh by the way, that church? What a beautiful place eh? How did you feel actually being in it?
Wonderful shots. I've always wanted to visit Italy but so far I haven't made it there.
I Love that countryside that beckons to walk. And that Church, Wow, what detail. I'll bet it was amazing to be there.

Wow Tom.... I know you are proud of that son and his accomplishments. Seeing a high school band get to take a trip where you all went is totally awesome. I'm so glad that son allowed Mom and Dad to tag along...

That church building just makes you want to be on your best behavior. Of course the ceiling would look like that.
Beautiful shots. The church interiors are amazing.

Really wonderful views, Tom!
Your trip must have been so pleasant, thanks for sharing!
The ceiling is so awesome. I am speechless.
You must have had perfect light everywhere you went-the pictures are just all amazing!
Beautifull pictures!!!
The Alps has to be just amazing.
I am wondering how difficult it would be to get some good photos of those frescos on the ceiling. We're talking multiple floodlights, probably slow shutter speeds on a tripod.
Thank you for this lovely trip down memory lane. It still seems odd to see Brixen as Italian when historically and linguistically and architecturally it is still Austrian. Ah the fortunes of ware and foreign powers redistributing geography. The Baroque church is really something isn't it?
i feel like singing "o sole mio", if only i know the lyrics lol. great shots FG.
That beauty and wonder just can't be duplicated. Such wonderful images.
wow...wonderful stuff. This trip must have been a real dream come true for a photographer.
Beautiful country, FG. I've never been there, so it's particularly nice to see your photos.
Wow, the 1400,s and the 1700's?!
What beautiful places.
Imagine the people who have walked where you walked.
