A special day on the lake today. I caught a 9" Bluegill which qualifies as a Fish Ohio Award fish. It took a minnow and was a good fighter.
Here are the biggest of the 13 fish I caught. A 9" bluegill, a 11" Yellow Perch and a 12 1/2" Crappie. It was a fun day.
Check out what others are doing in their world.

Congratulations! You caught quite a variety of different fish!
I think the perch is pretty - you'll be having fish for dinner, FG!

It looks as if you had a very successful day in your part of the world. Congratulations on your award fish.
That's a very Big bluegill. I remember catching some as kid and most were 4-5 inches at best. They're almost too pretty to eat.
Congrats Tom.... Big honor for sure!!!!!!
Great picture of you also....

You remind me of my dear uncle, a great fisherman.
Great job! I linked to you today.
Congratulations Tom, what a lovely mised bag of fish. Thanks for sharing your world and the meme you and the team host for us. This is my last visit from North Africa (sadly) I should be online in South Africa in two days' time and blogging again. Till then, blessings and kind regards. Jo

Il tuo blog, è veramente "profumato" di arrosto !
Grazie della visita :)
Buona serata, Myriam
So what are the qualifications for a Fish Ohio Award Fish? Just curious.

Cracker of a fish. Well done.
Congratulations on running this great Meme for 2 whole years.
Also congratulations for catching all those wonderful fish; lots of filleting for you to do. I trust they are great eating too. Your so lucky to have caught that special award fish too.
Great catch. You are a true fisherman. Your fish are different than ours. At least we have some perch here.
Very nice catch!
Big gills like that are hard to come by this time of year and those are really nice perch & crappie too! Glad to see you're getting some quality fishing time.
Look at you!!
You DID have a good day.
Cause it's written all over your face!
Congratulations! Beautiful fish.
Love finding your Blog. I thought my Man was the only one who took more pictures of fish than his lovely Wife :)) I'm sure soon he will want his own Fishy Blog. I have some picture's of him on my blog (with fish) if you want to see his catch. I'm happy I caught him.
Congrats on the fish!
That's a big fish - did it come from a small pond?
The fish colors and the fall leaves are so beautiful. You have such an nice touch with the camera.
Congratulations on your award. My husband used to fish a lot, but lost interest. Our 32 year old son talks him into going once or twice a summer. I ask them to bring some home to eat, but one of the reasons he lost interest is because he doesn't like to clean them. He had already started to just catch and release, which I thought was fine, as long as he fed us a few meals here and there.
Thanks for posting that photo of you with that big smile and your fish.
