Header Competition Season 3 # 27temp

There is no theme this week, Mac is off to the lakes so our small group is taking a break. If anyone wants to join please contact Mac or myself.

I decide to show one of my favorite big birds the great blue heron. They work the shore for fish and I love to capture them as I'm also fishing. Here is one I captured along the shore and taking flight.
They are so beautiful.
He wasn't having a lot of luck.
We weren't either, I don't like cold fronts. We got a little to close.
He took flight, what a magnificent bird.
I do hope you enjoyed the show.

Header Competition Season 3 # 26 “Impressionist”

The theme this week by Kathy  is "Impressionist". Mac, Gail's Man,Kathy and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and voting begins after that. If anyone wants to join please contact Mac or myself. Dave has taken a break because of personal problems.

Kathy thought that Mac's post last week was an “Impressionist” style photo. I decided to modify some of my photos into an "Impressionist" as if they had painted them. So here are the original and the modified photos. Here is a morning sky.
"At Daybreak"
A mother and fawn whitetail deer.
"Deer in the Mist"
Water lily on the water.
"The Beauty of the Pads"

Header Competition Season 3 # 25 - "What Is This?"

The theme this week by myself  is "What Is This?". Mac, Gail's ManDave,Kathy and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and voting begins after that.

I was working outside today putting in mulch around the house so my post is a little late today. I had a few thoughts of what to show. What is that in the sky? I thought this was an interesting shot of a flying wing.
I was out fishing when I saw this neat sight. What is This?
I went in a little closer to see what it was. There were two on the top of the log.
One of them left so it was a Painted turtle sunbathing on a log.
Check out what the others have posted.
