Camera Critters # 112 - More Birds from Mexico

Here are some more photos from Mexico. This was a neat woodpecker similar to our Red-bellied but with a golden crown.
This was a Curved Billed Thrasher, it looks like it caught something tasty.
This was a little wren on a building.

There was a great White Egret that frequented a pond near my daughter's house.

This was a Guinea Fowl that ran with the Peacocks.

I do hope you enjoyed the birds.

I'm pleased to share some more photos from Mexico. This is the city of Leon, Mexico - population of 1,000,000 people. I was on an overlook with a neat sky.
Looking back I was near a church on a hill. What a neat structure and many people make a pilgrimage to the top of the hill.
But this is the real view of the church and all the communication devices. It definitely takes away from the beauty.

This was a neat cloud that I thought looked like a fish surely ready to bite. it was in my daughters back yard. What do you think?
See a lot of other great skies above.

Header Competition # 33 - Trees

The header theme this week by Tom W. and is "Trees". Mac,TomDarlaGail's Man and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. Martha is on a break.

How could I show trees without including my Ohio Buckeye Tree.
Lake Hodgson was quite beautiful and tree lined.
My final choice was a Spanish Moss covered tree from Mexico. The Peacock may have had some influence on me having this photo and my header.
Check out the other headers for some neat trees.

Guanajauto, Mexico - The capitol city of the state of Guanajuato. I took this photo from the statue of the freedom fighter El Pipilia (Pepe).
I loved this hedge in front of the church. It turned out to be trees.
This is a close-up of the statue.

This is from the town looking back up to the statue from the same church.

Here is a view of the front of the church.

I have been to wonderful places for a photographer in My World.

My friend Luiz from Brazil does the Today's Flowers Meme, check it out. Come and join with your flower photos. Sunday at 2 GMT is the post time.

This is one of the biggest Bougainvillea Vines I have ever seen which was at the hacienda I visited in Mexico.
Check out the free roaming Peacock just above the vine.
I'm not sure what this thorny tree is but it was full of blooms and visitors.
See a lot of great flowers above.

A sky shot at an old hacienda that had been converted to a hotel and resturant. What a great day and place to watch the sky.
