Red & Green

The theme this week by me which is "Red & Green". Mac, Kathy, Sandy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

I thought these Christmas colors should give us a lot of opportunities this week. I chose this display my daughters has of Santa Clauses to do the header. Here is a Santa in red & green outfits.

"ALMOST"

The theme this week by Kathy which is "ALmost". Mac, Kathy, Sandy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

I'm a little late in posting. As you get older sometimes you almost know what day it was. Almost 50 years ago the wife and I got married. We waited until my birthday to celebrate. It was a fun time. The daughters had a fun time doing all the planning.
My daughter made the cake.
The years have treated us well.
This is the family.

HOLIDAY IMAGES IN THE SQUARE.

The theme this week by Lew which is "Holiday Images in the Square". Mac, Kathy, Sandy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

I had a hard time with this one. There are not many town sqaures in the area. Tallmadge Ohio  has a town circle (which they call the town square) with a old town hall (1855) and old church (1825). Here is a look as I drove in on one of the eight roads that radiate from the circle. The Chistmas Tree with the star is focal in this shot.
The old town hall sits on the South leg with the church behind.
The Old Town Hall is a great building with the Christmas decorations.
I liked this view of the church with the decortions on the pole lights.

"Straight and Curved Lines with-in a Church or House"

The theme this week by Mac which is "Straight and Curved Lines with-in a Church or House". Mac, Kathy, Sandy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

I decided to use my trip across the Alps with the Shaker Heights Band to show this theme. I visited two parts of The Cathedral of the Assumption while in Brixen, Italy. The older part from the 10th century. The newer cathedral  is where I got my header. This fresco is just one of many on the ceiling. I loved the straight and curved lines on this part of the church.
The double clock towers are just beautiful.
This is a view toward the alter.
Check out these straight and curved lines.

There are many straight and curved lines in the church.
This fresco has really interesting lines. You can really see the age in this church.
