"Not What It Seems"

The theme this week is "Not What It Seems" by Kathy.  Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Mondays and voting begins after that. Mac is travelling around England and Lew is missing so only three of us.

There are three of these plants growing in my flower garden. They have 5 leaves as you can see.
I did not plant them and they are not what they seem.
They are a slow growing plant. Do you know what they are?
They were planted by the squirrels to save the nut until the next year. They forgot to come back so the seed turned into this plant.
They are baby Ohio Buckeye Trees that are growing. The tree is starting to bud and after pollination little buckeyes will start to grow.

"Hidden"

The theme this week is "Hidden" by Christine.  Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Mondays and voting begins after that.

I would have this siruation occur while hunting whitetail in the PA woods. Can you see it, it's hidden.
Here is another photo, can you see it?
On Thursday the area was hidden under a blanket of snow. Yes it is Spring and it was 72F today.
Here is a root that was hidden under the sidewalk. It lifted the sidewalk up as it grew.
What a funny sight to see on a hidden day.

"A New Beginning"

The theme this week is "A New Beginning" by Lew.  Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Mondays and voting begins after that.

We are back from a break. This was good for me since I had a knee replacement and have been in a healing time off. I am making some great advances and am hoping to be back on the boat within a month. I visited Lake Hodgson today and it looked cold and foreboding. It should be warming soon.

My local back yard Black Squirrel visited my deck today. I love his white tail. Was this a new beginning?
This was a few weeks back at the Cuyahoga River. We had some recent cold spells.
Today in the front flower bed a blue hyacinth was blooming.
Here is a Black Squirrel in the Ohio Buckeye Tree. It will be blooming soon.
