Header Competition Season 3 # 20 - "Leap "

The theme this week by Dave which  is "Leap". Mac, Gail's ManDave,Kathy and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and voting begins after that. Dave chose Leap for this Leap Day.

I  thought of a picnic last year when the grandsons were having a leaping contest into the pool.  I was a ways away in the shade but got some interesting shots. Matt did most of the leaps.
Here he is leaping into a tube.
Here is another leap.
Super G leaping into the water.
This leap going bottom first into the tube.
I chose this shot as Matt leaps toward his target. i hope you enjoyed all the leaps.

Header Competition Season 3 # 19 - "Blue "

The theme this week by me  is "Blue". Mac, Gail's ManDave,Kathy and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and voting begins after that. I thought this theme could go one of two ways. The color "Blue" or how we are feeling in this winter season.

I decided to go with the color Blue but what to show. I thought at first to get a blue house. I found several and liked this one best.
This one had some neat windows.
This one had a blue garage along side.
I stopped at Brady Lake to get this blue dock on a blue lake and the blue sky.
One of the fawn triplets in a snow storm that looked very blue.
The neighbors are moving so I got this Sea Turtle on the U-Haul truck.
What I chose was the blue sailboat sitting on its winter trailer with the red, white and blue flying behind.

Header Competition Season 3 # 18 - "Let's Get Out of Here "

The theme this week by Gail's Man  is "Let's Get Out of Here". Mac, Gail's ManDave,Kathy and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and voting begins after that.

Let's get out of this northern snow and head to Florida. While I visited this southern climate I saw my first Florida Gopher Tortoise crossing the road. We stopped and I followed it into the landscape. Unlike the chicken the tortoise has a reason for crossing the road and I'll show you why.
Get off the road tortoise.
What are you doing here?
Oh, I see.
Now I know why you are called a gopher tortoise.
Underground you go just like a gopher but a lot slower.

I chose this for the header from above in a wider format.

Cowbird
Red Wing Blackbird
Woodpeckers - Downy
Red Bellied
Flicker
The State bird -Cardinal
Blue Jay
So what I chose is the Bluebird.

Header Competition Season 3 # 16 - "Simply Light"

The theme this week by Mac is "Simply Light". Mac, Gail's ManDave,Kathy and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and voting begins after that.

I was surprised (last weeks theme) to see this one from Mac. It is pretty wide open so what do I show?

I thought of our newly redesigned kitchen/dining room and the new lights we have.
This one is in the kitchen over the sink.
We went to a new Kent eatery called Laziza. It has Lebanese food. It has a lot of lights. It is in Acorn Alley II as downtown Kent continues to expand.
It has a nice decor.
This wall mural is neat.
So I chose this photo from the upper level to show the simply light look of the place.
