The theme this week by me is "What's the Buzz?". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. You can see what others show on my side bar.
"What's the Buzz?" certainly had me thinking about some of the flying insects that buzz. I love to capture bees and other buzzers. Here is a bumblebee getting some nectar that I chose for my header.
And here is a honeybee doing the same.

The theme this week by Kathy is "Summer Solstice". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. You can see what others show on my side bar.
We have reached into the year and we are quickly approaching the Summer Solstice. The earth has tilted to the maximum northward. This is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. It is time for summer fun, are you ready. My photos are of summer related items. How about my grandson with a nice crappie, check the size of that mouth. He was proud of this nice catch.

The Great Blue Heron fishes all summer.
A typical summer catch of perch and crappie, they are delicious eating.

The theme this week by Lew is "Views Across the Rooftops". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. You can see what others show on my side bar.
Well what an unusual theme. Lew wanted us to do some climbing to get a rooftop photo. Since I don't like to climb I decided to go into the new PARTA parking garage. I drove to the top floor and got some photos of the new construction in Kent. I choose this photo of the converted Kent Hotel ( which is now a BW3 and shops) with the theater across the street. Acorn Alley phase one rooftops are behind the hotel on the left.
This is a view across the roofs of several buildings. The KSU Conference Center, new apartments and restaurant in construction, and new business building as part of the expansion of the Acorn Alley area. Kent is an active place.
This is a close-up of a future rooftop.

When I think of B&W Art I think of the Loon. It is B&W Art even in color. I will show both before and after photos. I loved this artful pose.
This is before B&W conversion, note the red eye.
Cool close-up.

Let's take a better look.
