We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. Shadows can create a lot of effects in photography. Here the Common White Dragonfly casts a shadow. Delicate wings but the shadow is there.

My famous Male Turkey from my trip to Turkey ,a few years back, casts a shadow from behind.
Here is a red squirrel in the shadow.
Finally a double shadow with the snowball bush and the photographer in shadow.
The theme this week is "Any Sport That's Not Played With a Ball" Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. I chose the sport of fishing, no balls used here. I tried a little fly fishing and caught a bluegill.
