The theme this week is "Shadows" by Mac. Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.
I guess Mac didn't know we have no sun in the NE in January and February. I had to go to another seasons archives to find some shadows.
The walkway in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Beaver Pond provided a neat shadow effect. It was both curvy and disappearing at the same time.
This is a morning dove on my deck casting its shadow.
A trio of Alpaca mowing the grass in the field.
This is a walkway into the water on the Cuyahoga River.
These are some bridge piers casting their shadow into the river.
See what the others show on my side bar.

B/W Photo
The theme this week is "B/W Photo" by all. Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.
We went to the Odd Mall sales and show on Akron, Ohio. They had some neatly dressed people wondering the show. My header is Mrs. Edward Sizzorhands. What a neat person.
There was a Samurai Warrior, watch the sword.
Here was a Ghost Buster Club, "Who You Gonna Call?".
Some people dressed up pretty cool.
Other were just plain wild.

It really helps when you have a model for a granddaughter. She never takes a bad photo.
Love the shirt.
I love you mom.
At home form college.
Having a fun time.
Sisters.

"Far Far Away"
The theme this week is "Far Far Away" by Kathy. Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.
In a land "Far Far Away" there is a country at the the meeting of Europe and Asia. We visited Turkey three years ago with my son's band. I never dreamed I would be in a country so far away from my home in the U. S. A.
We left the late Winter snows of Ohio and head to Istanbul, Turkey. The Blue Mosque was quite a site.
So the views change and the flag is different.
You had to say you weren't in Ohio anymore.
The minarets could be seen from the bus.
A palace to behold.
I thought a good reminder of the spice trade through the area would be the Spice Market.
Do you want a sweet treat?
How can you omit the Roman influence with an aqueduct crossing the street. What engineering marvels there were to see from the days of Constantinople when the Emperor Constantine the Great made this the center of Roman rule.

A view from the inside.
All packed up and ready to travel with my daughter and her fiance. So the views change and the flag is different.

So, back to the Spice Market to see their wares.
Many offerings from which to choose.Do you want a sweet treat?
