The theme this week is by the group is "2nd Anniversary Celebration". Mac, Gail's Man, Lanny, Dave and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesday with no voting this week. We are doing this in groups of two this week to go along with the celebration. Gail's Man and Dave will join and Lanny will join with her daughter EBet.
It was two years ago that Mac and I started this fun little group. We have kept it small and it was meant to be a fun challenge. We have had people come and go but we have always had a great group of photographers showing there talents. My friend Mac is located at Grantham, Lincolnshire, England. A small town located on the central east coast of England. We have formed a bond as we have run the group. Mac's favorite things to do are photography and vacationing. His wife DW is also a blogger. He sent me this photo with his favorite equipment. As you can see he has some great Nikon cameras where I shoot mostly with my Canon SX100IS. He is my buddy (mate) depending who is writing. We were both with Sky Watch Fridays before we started this group.
In honor of the celebration we are showing the same header with our own posts. Mac is the best with working with photos so he developed the header. Thanks Mac.
As I thought of the post I naturally thought of the number two. I loved these two white tail bucks that came into my back yard.
I loved these two Canada Geese on the lake.
The Mallard Duck and the blond female mallard.
A two color day lily from my daughter-in-law's garden.
Here I am with two nice Yellow Perch.
So my header is showing a double celebration. Thanks for stopping by for our fun time.

Header Compitition Season 2 #52 " A Memorable Moment in Your Life"
The theme this week is by Mac which is " A Memorable Moment in Your Life". Mac, Gail's Man, Lanny,Dave and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesday and start the voting after that.
This is an interesting subject. I could look at the day I caught the biggest bluegill of my life a 11 1/4" Fish Ohio fish. This is my personal record.
The day my grandson caught a Fish Ohio 10" Bluegill this year. This was his first Fish Ohio.
What I decided on is a family get together. It is not very often that the whole family is in the same country. This was a good time for all.
See what the others show at the above links.
Sorry to say that Sandy is leaving the group, if anyone is interesting in joinig in please contact Mac or myself.

Header Compitition Season 2 #51 "Moving Pictures"
The theme this week is by Sandy which is "Moving Pictures". Mac, Gail's Man, Lanny, Dave, Sandy and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesday and start the voting after that.
The first thing I thought of was the local drive-in theater. It isn't that picturesque.
What about a photo out of a moving truck of an old barn. Yes, this was a drive-by photo.
So then I thought of photos that show motion. The lake gives me this view of some geese with a little ripple.
This is a duck moving across the lake. This is a blond Mallard Duck. A very odd color phase.
I really liked this Ruddy Duck for showing moving pictures.
But my header is this pair of Canada Geese flying, a classic moving picture.

Header Compition #50 "Flags"
The theme this week is by Dave which is "Flags". Mac, Gail's Man, Lanny, Dave, Sandy and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesday and start the voting after that.
Okay now, flags are very patriotic so there should be quite the difference from the USA posts and the England posts. We will see.
Old Glory hangs high around these parts and here are some views.
I like to Watch a flag whip in the wind.
It has great movement.
My header is one of my favorite flag shots in a cloud filled sky.

I was a little late today while I fixed a Delicious meal. I started with 5 Yellow Perch
and six Bluegill.
They were filleted.
I then wrapped in in foil and added Italian Breadcrumbs and Parmesan Cheese.
I cooked them on the grill along with garden tomatoes, zucchini and onions.
So the results is my header, a Delicious baked fish dinner.

Header Compitition Season 2 #48 "Big Bird"
The theme this week is by myself which is "Big Bird". Mac, Gail's Man, Lanny, Dave, Sandy and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesday and start the voting after that.
The first thing I thought about is Sesame Street and the big yellow bird but I have no photos. So let us see what we will find.
I looked int a tree to see what I could find why an Eastern Towhee in the pine tree.
I continued to search a parking lot a seagull was on the strut.

Out to the lake a boating I did go with Canada Geese going to and fro.

And then I saw a large bird buiding a nest.
And another walking the shore.
So the biggest bird in my part of the world is the Great Blue Heron so on the header it did go.
