Today's Flowers # 92

My friend Luiz from Brazil does the Today's Flowers Meme, check it out. Come and join with your flower photos. Sunday at 2 GMT is the post time. A Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers who read my posts.

It is time to show off my Ohio Buckeye Tree in full bloom.
The flowers on the tree are really prolific and very pretty when studied up close.
The bees really love to get the nectar.
Check this one out working really hard.
Check out all the flowers above.

Hi Tom, The Ohio Buckeye is gorgeous. I've never seen one in bloom ---or at least, never 'noticed' it before.

We're home from the beach --and I'll post in the morning. Had a wonderful time --but it's nice to be home.

One of my sons is visiting me on my 'special' day (Mother's Day) today!!!!!

Hope you have a wonderful day.
Hugs,
Betsy

Great Buckeye. I can never understand why more people don't use it as landscape plant around here.

Love that tree, Tom! These are all great captures but I like the closeup with the bee the most. Have a great weekend!

That is a wonderful old tree and is so pretty when you see the flowers up close. It is not a tree I have ever seen before, it doesn't grow out here.
Mother's Day was lovely thank you, an hour long chat with my daughter on the phone made my day.

Sweet flowers from the owner attract the bees to them..
How old is your Ohio Buckeye tree?

I don't know if we have those in Nebraska. It sure is a nice looking tree, and the blooms are pretty. It's great to have all those blossoms for the bees.

I love your umbrella photo!

Nice closeup on the bee. A coworker of mine wore a bumble bee costume one Halloween. It was the funniest costume ever!

I especially love the humblebee pic--not sure but I've always thought they were the grandest of the bee/wasp families.

We had a huge buckeye tree behind the house that I grew up in. It was in a neighbors yard. I had forgotten about the blooms.
They ARE beautiful!

Tom, that last shot of the bumblebee on the blossoms is simply fantastic.
