Sky Watch Season # 4 Episode # 49

Sky Watch Friday This is the place. Please check out the site and link in if you wish to participate. There were a lot of people with beautiful Sky photos last week. You can link in from my side bar or at the start of this post. You can link at 3:00 PM EDT on Thursdays. SWF is run by Klaus, Wren, Sandy, Sylvia and myself.

It is the photographers prerogative as to what to show. Here are two sky shots of the same sky formation. One of them will catch your eye and will be your favorite. First a view with lights in the foreground.

Second a view of mostly the clouds I zoomed in for this shot.
Which one appealed to you?

Visit a lot of great skies above.

Both pictures are good, Tom. If you study the second photograph, though, you will see a face in the cloud. Anyone else see it?

I like the second one where you zoomed in. The clouds look like they have something to say.

I like both shots but I think I like the second shot better, because of the detail in the clouds. I went back to look for a face but I didn't see one . I like the soft colors in both. And your header shot is great!

Both photos are very appealing. It would be hard for me to choose.

They're both terrific captures, Tom, but I do love the second one and for the same reason Carol has written, I love the detail in the cloud and the soft colors! And, yes! your header is fantastic! Have a great weekend!

Oh I think I like the second one best!

My fav is the 2nd one Tom, the 1st would have looked better had the lamps been higher than the trees.

Both are great but I love the second best! Thanks to the zoom-zoom. haha

Good morning Tom! any catch yet?

(I'm looking an old English Teacher - knew her as a Peace Corp in 1983-84 by the name of Miss Constance Parker Reimer from Cleveland OHIO. Of what I heard of, she was married to a certain Tom Foster? I am not sure now. I lost track).

I'll be grateful of any help even if this search is impossible.

your shots are fabulous, but i can't get over the humor of your header pic. fantastic capture.

Glad to see both for perspective yet like the second one best.

Both are good, but the second one speaks to me, probably because the centered cloud provides better focus.

Such wonderful captures, Tom. I love both pictures.

Have a wonderful weekend!

I prefer the second shot too. I like how you left some of the trees in the shot, it frames the cloud formation nicely.

Hard choice but I like the second one best because of the detail on that big puffy cloud.

I like both shots, but the second is definitely my favourite. That cloud looks like a huge ice cream cone peeking through the leaves.

Your header is stunning!

Since you asked which photo appealed to me, I can honesty say both did. But I especially like that second picture.

I prefer the combination of manmade-object and nature. So I go for the first one.

Your header photo appeals to me most. It is just so funny. You captured it at the right time. What happened after? Was there a fight?

Another gorgeous skies.
Happy SWF. Enjoy your weekend.

love them both Tom, but if I HAD to choose, I'd go for that ice cream cone with the cream on top-looking clouds.
Sorry I missed a couple of your entries but as I'm looking back, I see a wonderful visit with friends, chatty birds, an awesome catch of the day with that stringer of crappies...oh my, how I crave that taste...and I found the Red Lilies you want in the Jung Seeds and Plants catalog. They are Hardy Asiatic Hybrids called Fire House.
Have a Wonderful Day

2nd one is my fave - getting a nice close up of that puffy cloud!
P.S. Love your header too - both the blue jay and starling are known for being little bullies!

The second one. I like to watch clouds, too.
